Looks like Colt is still in it, Teebow looks headed for a second heisman at this point though. The Cincy QB is putting up big numbers and if Clausen can beat USC his name will be right near the top probably.

As for Forcier, he's going to lose to OSU and PSU so not this year imo.

Tebow is out. His numbers are WAY down. When he won, he had insane numbers. Last year, Bradford had the same.

He has a 5% chance, atm.

Week 7

1. Tim Tebow - QB - Florida I hate Tebow, absolutely hate him, but he is damn good. Led a fantastic final drive to win the game. All Tebow does is score touchdowns and win. Not much more to say.

2. Jimmy Clausen - QB - Notre Dame I expected USC to expose him. I expected them to show everyone that he isn't that great. I was wrong. Threw 2 touchdowns and almost led a comeback that I didn't see coming. The kid can throw the ball.

3. Tony Pike - QB - Cincinnati He continues to win. The question is, is he hurt and how much time will he miss. If he misses any games then you can write him off but if he can comeback and have some big games we could see him in New York.

4. Mark Ingram - RB - Alabama We all knew he was good, but he showed this past week he is great. Alabama is kicking ass right now and Ingram is torching everyone. He nearly put up 250 yards against South Carolina and is the real leader of the team.

5. Colt McCoy - QB - Texas Maybe Colt should have left last season because he is falling down fast. He is no longer ranked in the top 40 in passer rating, only has 4 more touchdowns than interceptions and doesn't even have 100 yards rushing this season. He needs to get going soon.

6. Golden Tate - WR - Notre Dame He's moving up the list fast. Put up another 100 yards and 1 touchdown against USC in a close loss. He will be overshadowed by Clausen though and there's really nothing wrong with that.

7. Jacquizz Rodgers - RB - Oregon State Led the Beavers to a huge win over Stanford last week with over nearly 200 yards and 4 touchdowns. He leads all running backs with 13 touchdowns.

8. Casey Keenum - QB - Houston All he does is throw touchdowns and pile up yards. Has nearly 2500 passing yards for the season and has 19 touchdowns. The loss to UTEP a few weeks back killed his chances though.

9. Toby Gerhart - RB - Stanford The miracle season is over for Stanford and so are Toby's chances, though no fault of himself. He has nearly 870 yards with 12 touchdowns. Stanford just needs a few more years.

10. Todd Reesing - QB - Kansas Unbelievable loss to Colorado this week and caused Reesing's chances to disappear. He needs to have some big games the next few weeks if he wants to get back in this competition. Chances are gone probably.

Falling out of the Rankings: Ryan Mallet, Jahvid Best

This week made it glaringly obvious; Tim tebow hasnt played like a Heisman contender. Hes on the best team and the star, but numbers just arent there for him to even be in contention, imo.

I know hes missed game, but I mean come on:

Tebow: 1,150 passing yards, 8 touchdowns, 4 interceptions, 466 rushing yards on 121 carries (just a 3.8 ypc) and 6 rushing touchdowns

vs.

Jimmy Clausen: 2,050 yards (almost 1,000 more yards than Tebow), 16 touchdowns (twice as many touchdowns), 2 interceptions (half as many interceptions), 1 rushing touchdown

Jahvid Best: 785 yards, 112 yards-per-game, 6.9 ypc, 11 rush. touchdowns, 156 receiving yards, 3 touchdowns

Mark Ingram: 1,004 rush. yards, 125. per game, 6.5 ypc, 8 rush. touchdowns, 186 receiving yards, 3 touchdowns

AJ Green: 682 yards, 6 touchdowns, C.L.U.T.C.H.

Ingram/Clausen are 1/2 right now, imo.

Clausen really needs to win out though.

http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/ ... -finalists

Quote:
The two players couldn't be coming into the presentation with more disparate performances. Suh set a Big 12 record with 4.5 sacks and a team-high 12 tackles in a 13-12 loss to McCoy's Texas team in the Big 12 title game. McCoy struggled with a season-worst three interceptions and was sacked nine times, but still led the game-winning drive.

Other finalists include Stanford running back Toby Gerhart, Alabama running back Mark Ingram and Florida quarterback Tim Tebow.

http://stiffarmtrophy.com/

Quote:
T Gerhart 26 23 21 70 145 1088 39.2%
N Suh 41 16 16 73 171 1047 37.7%
M Ingram 20 32 17 69 141 1044 37.6%
C McCoy 18 19 18 55 110 887 31.9%
T Tebow 6 4 13 23 39 355 12.8%

These are very early numbers but it's looking like a three way race. It'd be awesome if a defensive player would win but I also wouldn't mind Gerhart winning. A white RB winning the Heisman trophy in this day and age would be an achievement.

Another FU from the BCS towards Boise. They could have at least put Moore on the shortlist

I agree. If he plays like this for the rest of his college career, he damn well better WIN a Heisman.
