In 1987, the SMU football program was given the Death Penalty by the NCAA and was shut down for two seasons -- the harshest penalty ever given to any major collegiate program.

Idk about ya'll but I though the RB should have taken a knee at the one because they would have had first and goal there but that's too OOTB thinking for 99% of football teams.
That missed XP. The freaking holder couldn't handle it but that isn't what ruined this game for them. It was their bullhonkey defense that couldn't stop anything in the 2nd half.
Just embarassing.
**and this team has no business being considered ahead of TCU even with this ONE point win. They've had extremely close wins down the stretch and have shown they aren't really that good of a team but they are accomplished.**

Because pre-season ranks give a ridiculous advantage to established conferences. The only reason the Top 3 is the way they are is preseason-rankings. Has nothing to do with how good they played the season. They need to blow this system up. Fast.
