That sounds promising.

It's not their fault some random asshole started screaming at them like a crazy person and a senile old lady who probably fell asleep and got left behind in the theater clapped him on. Glad you felt big for talking down some people that were 5-10 years younger then you, big man indeed.

When did you give your sense of humour away to a land where sarcasm wasnt existant?

This is the third time ive said this online in 2 days: not everything i say on the internet has to be taken literally

and "I Felt So Big" was kind of an indication that it was a joke.......

Why are you defending the annoying group of girls who ruined The Village anyway? I bet you were one of them :P

Here is my crowd report (before 9:00)

Being Julia (110 seater)
1:10 - 11% full.
3:35 - 13% full.
6:05 - 10% full.
8:30 - 8% full.
(Next)

Because of Winn Dixie
1:00 (150 seater) - 19% full.
2:15 (200 seater) - 7% full.
3:45 (150 seater) - 4% full.
5:00 (200 seater) - 13% full.
6:30 (150 seater) - 5% full.
7:45 (200 seater) - 15% full.
(Pardon the pun, but this performance was a total dog. It could vie for the record for lowest grossing weekend with 3000 theaters).

Son of the Mask
1:15 (175 seater) - 6% full.
2:25 (175 seater) - 7% full.
3:55 (175 seater) - 13% full.
5:05 (175 seater) - 36% full.
6:35 (175 seater) - 28% full.
7:40 (175 seater) - 67% full.
(Okay, so not as bad as we were anticipating, but this performace still leads to a 2-3 million opening day.)

Constantine
1:05 (300 seater) - 36% full.
2:00 (600 seater) - 16% full.
3:00 (600 seater) - 22% full.
4:00 (300 seater) - 49% full.
5:05 (600 seater) - 28% full.
6:05 (600 seater) - 31% full.
7:00 (300 seater) - 80% full.
7:30 (400 seater) - 72% full.
8:05 (600 seater) - 73% full.
9:00 (600 seater) - Sold Out.
and the 10:00 was on the verge of selling out by the time I left.
(Very Robust. This is actually the biggest we've seen from a Friday matinee so far this year. A opening day of 12 million is in store based on this).

All in all, it was a pretty good for early hours, though the next 3 hours should make the difference. Hitch was nowhere near last Fridays performance, nor was Boogeyman, Million Dollar Baby, Aviator, Are We There Yet, or Sideways. Looks like Constatine took away alot of the business.

I'm sorry, but if someone is making incessant noise in a theater I will make it known.

My older brother turned around at one point during RoTK as this woman would not be quiet and told her to "Shut the h*** up b****". She was quiet afterwards

During my first viewing of The Village some people behind me were quite loud and finally were told to "shut the f***" up by another viewer and they were quiet.

And then when I went to see Saw, the three other people in the theater were quite loud until I finally very loudly "shhed" them.

So yes, I don't have a problem telling people to be quiet. Its rude and its inconsiderate for people to talk during a film.

Constantine
AMC Marple 10
10:10pm, 400 Seats, Sold Out (infact, there were many sitting on the floor, so they opened up another screen)

Trailers
House of Wax (whispering; looks awesome)
The Interpreter (silence; my anticipation grows)
Stealth (lots of talking; looks awesome)
Batman Begins (whispering; can't wait)
The Ring Two (lots of talking; #1 most anticipated of 2005)

The crowd was really into Constantine. Clapping at the end, and a few of Constantine's funny moments

Movie
There was never any doubt to whether I would like Constantine or not. Infact, it was almost certain I would like Constantine. They main question was, "how much would I like Constantine?". After one year of massive anticipation, I can happily say that I absolutely loved Constantine. Where to begin. The movie has some kick-ass special effects. Their interpretation of Hell is great and fitting. Keanu Reeves was perfect for the role of Constantine. He may not be the world's best actor, but this was his role. Rachel Weisz also did great in her role of Angela. The other actors in Constantine are worth mentioning, such as Constantine's right hand boy, Shia LaBeouf. Constantine is one hell of a ride. It's by far the most entertaining movie I've seen in a while. Despite a few plot holes, this movie had everything I wanted, and more. It's definently more of a "horror" (if I even want to call it that) than an action movie, unlike Blade. I had a blast watching this movie, and it's sure to be one of my favorites of 2005. A

I feel like a moron now for not taking the risk of predicting high. I knew this would do big numbers, but my guts told me that if I predicted too high, I'd be dissapointed. Ever since I predicted a $37 million opening weekend for Riddick, I quit taking risks.

I'm very inconsistant. That's why I don't make risky predictions unless I am absolutely sure it's going to be huge or a complete bomb.

Zing...

I'm glad to hear you liked it. I couldn't see it tonight, but i'm going tomorrow for sure.

So it's more of a horror film than an action film, huh? That's actually what I was hoping for.

Yeah. If you, or anyone, was expecting a full blown action movie, you probably will be dissapointed. It's definently what Dr. Lecter described it as. A "detective-horror" type movie, with a few action scenes, combined with kick-ass effects.

Don't be sorry about it. I have absolutely no problems telling somebody to shut the hell up, and I won't let rude talking go on for long before I do. If I hear a cell phone go off, I'll immediately say something loud enough to let it known that I didn't like it, and if they think they are going to start talking on it, they'll be quickly interupted.

I don't like the back of my seat kicked by idiots who have no control over their limbs. The first time, I won't say anything, the second, I'll comment loud enough to be heard, the 3rd time, I'll turn around and talk to them about it, and explain how it better not happen again. It's a shame you have to practically threaten somebody to get their respect. :???:

House of Wax trailer seems to be getting pretty good reactions :)

Hopefully CONSTANTINE will open big so that HOUSE OF WAX can get a decent opening number.

Yeah, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I tolerated somebody talking through about half of Saw, but when it got to the point that I was missing dialogue I had to make it known.

The 2/4 stars is the crowd response to the movie, just as with the trailers.

If a cell phone goes off, it echoes throughout the theater. Then yelling "PICK IT UP!" it alright. But if people are just talking eagerly to each other in their normal voices or less, it seems really assholish for people to scream at them. There's a difference between disturbing the entire theater and being dead silent.
