I was never a big Star Trek Fan....though I want to give one show a chance.....so?

VOY. Period.

Tie between TNG and TOS, with VOY a close second...

Don't listen to the others, Deep Space Nine owns the other shows. Don't judge it by the first season, it starts a little slow but it gets awesome soon thereafter.

TNG is a good show, too.

VOY is decent, ENT is pretty meh, TOS is cult.

Yeah, don't judge DS9 by its first seven seasons. Those aren't really good.

I could understand if someone favors TNG over DS9 but VOY? Pfft, no way! Trek started to go downhill with VOY.

DS9 is a just a soap opera disguised as Star Trek - - it seems to be favored by the under 15 short attention span crowd.

VOY is ridiculously underrated - - it is an excellent show with some of the best storylines and science integration in the entire franchise.

VOY is a tad patronising though Bradley. TNG is the best for me.

Yes, VOY can be a tad patronizing, but TNG suffers from the same thing. DS9 is not only patronizing, but ridiculously dragged out with no real sense of a story. They haven't managed to build a story up until the fourth season and then they came up with an atrocious soapish crap. DS9 is by far the worst series yet.

Frankly, they are all "meh", but guess I prefered TNG the most.

TNG and to a lesser extent VOY didn't have "a story", it was episodic content, whereas DS9 was the Trek with the strongest sense of a cohesive story arc. They took quite a few pages from another great show that ran at the time, Babylon 5. It had some of the best writing on any Trek show and some great, well developed characters.

Which makes since seeing as the other two were starships and DS9 a space station.

Does VOY have a story arc........cause thats what made B5 so great.

VOY has more of recurring storylines rather than one solid story arc.

Since it seems some of you know Trek a bit.......is there a new series in planning....cause Enterprise was cancelled already after 4 seasons.

Enterprise wasn't too bad. Unfortunately it got canceled just as it was getting really good... Oh well, at least we had a wonderful two-part series finale and a nice holodeck-based AU crossover afterward...

Maybe I might check DS9 after I finished Farscape and got finally all 4 season of BSG.
Though I guess I have to rewatch all BSG cause there was so much time before they sold the episodes......Will give time to rethink the Trek thing again.

How is Farscape btw? Never watched it.

I've always wanted to watch Farscape but never actually did. It's the one with the muppets, right?

Despite all the internecine bickering, I would say the overall thread consensus favors TNG so far...
