Oh Jacoby Elisbury is quietly have a great year. He is hitting over .300 with .360 OBA and he is on pace to shatter the Red Sox steals record of 54 SB set by Tommy Harper.

Just wondering is 360 OBP really that good - guess he doesn't walk alot - but with his speed you would want him to be closer to 400.

Re: 2009 Major League Baseball Discussion
Unbelievable!!! Hunter hits three homeruns in a row in a single game (how often does that happens)!!! The Angels had 5 homeruns hit today (including one from Morales and Mathis, this shows that your pitcher sucks if Mathis can hit a homerun off of you). I was there at Angels Stadium in person to see all this excitement. Then again, you know that the AL West has the advantage against virtually all the teams in the NL West all sucking except the Dodgers.

Santna pitching a horrible game. Wonder if he is fed up with the Mets.
Beckett blows a 5 run lead. Back to tied.

Beckett blows a 5 run lead. Back to tied. It was a 3 run lead. And Boston then went down by 1 and have now tied it.

Re: 2009 Major League Baseball Discussion
Weaver for the Angels pitched a complete shutout game (and only 5 hits). I had to post this with J. Santana and Beckett pitching horrible games.
Also, I am happy the Angels got the sweep against the Padres, but I knew they would be an easy team to sweep, since they have no offense at all.

Burnett (W, 5-3) pitches a 4 hitter in 7 innings, allowing no runs. I just don't think this guy is as bad as the guy who keeps on ripping him.

Wow, Impressive MLB debut by Sean O'Sullivan. 7 innings and only 1 earned run. There could be a future in this guy. The Angels offense is unstoppable yet again. Could be 2002 all over again.

The Angels sweep the Giants!!! Tim Lincacum did what he could, but he blew in the 8th inning and that's what made the difference.

The Red Sox are playing great right now. They now have a 4 game lead over the Yankees. They now play the next 9 games against teams below .500. I think they could have a 6-7 game lead by the All Star Break.

Nick Green is awesome. And if it weren't for Dice-K our rotation would be absolutely perfect right now. Lester and Beckett have pretty much done a 180 from the beginning of the year.

Jays are only 1 game out of the wildcard. It would help if we could not lose 2 of 3 to the Nationals though, lol

Well Dice K might be done for the year. I would like to see what Smoltz has got and if he doesn't work out I rather turn to Bucholtz over Dice K. Nick Green has been hitting great, still not sure about his fielding.

I hate how the MLB does it's math.
If you come in as a relief pitcher, get 2 outs before getting pulled, you pitched .2 innings...
Come on!
