Well, a win is a win. Nice come from behind victory for the Angels, but comon Gary, you so should have caught that ball. 5 home runs for Hunter already!!! He could vie for the franchise record in HR in one season (the record is set by Troy Glaus, with 47). If he does this every other game, could he challenge Bonds. Wishful thinking, yes I know. Aside for Torii, look at the batting average for Abreu (.370). He sure is making an huge impact for the Angels. With him, who need Vladdy. In other news, Brandon Wood is coming back to the Angels lineup. Good, cause he is way better at offense than Abyar and Izaturis among shortstops, and is just as great defensively.

Let sweep these Tiggers to get it back up, shall we.

saw the end of the games...the 9th inning relievers sure had some nasty stuff but he was too wild.....how do you like him so far?

and the Dodgers finally had a game they couldn't come back from....losing 8-5....with so many men left on base during the game.....o well you have to lose every once in a while after 6 wins in a row.

Actually, Brian kinda scares me even more than K-rod sometimes. But when he finds his zone, it becomes impossible for the batters to hit anything. He kinda reminds me of Appier, he can be effective, but kinda erratic as well. He is an interesting pitcher more than anything, but it is nice to have a side arm thrower for once.

Dammit Angels. How come everytime our offense takes off, the bullpens have to ruined for us. Shields has not blown it just once, but three leads this year. Seriously, he pitches like a little league pitcher.

On the bright side, everyone else in the AL West all lost their games, so we didn't lose any ground.

woohoo! the tribe finally wins a series! if their bullpen can continue to pitch better, they can easily jump back in the mix for first place in the al central. the starters seem to have gotten their acts together. lee, reyes, laffey and pavano have pitched very well as of late. carmona still worries me though.

I just came back from the Angels Stadium, and wow, what an incredible game. Our offense came through. 10 runs, including a home run by Hunter, his sixth of the season already, and a couple of RBIs by Abreu. Rivera and Morales are improving their batting averages, but best of all, Figgins got a 2 run RBI single, with a bunt!!! Wow, I wonder how that was possible. Not to mention, the countless number of infield singles we got for the night, looks like speedy guys sometimes do work to our advantage. About the pitchers, well, for the most part, they came through. Matt Palmer for his Angels debut after being plucked from Triple A to start at the last minute (he gave up only 2 runs). Although we got into a jam in the 7th, but we survived. The bullpens improved, with two shutout innings in the 8th and 9th. Now were talking Angels baseball. We win the sereis with Detroit. That now moves us into a tie for 2nd place. Keep it up.

Good way to start off the 18 game schedule against the Yankees.

Not much I can say about last nights game. Bedard for the Mariners is just too good of a pitcher that we couldn't hit anything off of them (even our best batters, Abreu and Hunter got shut out tonight, yes, he is that good). Looks like they will be the one of the biggest challenges the Angels will face in the AL West race.

Beckett sure looked bad in the first inning. Lucky he only gave up 2 runs.

The Jays bats are basically flaming torches at this point. lol @ yesterday's score. I really wish we had last year's pitching staff or at least Marcum healthy

I'll take that.

I'll also take a lineup where most of the team drives in a run a game. Then again, that's just me.

but who are your 5 starters???too many names there...and wasn't clay sent to minors????

I saw Mat pitch in the WBC, the guy just gets people out but he is stuck on that 15 pitches per inning.

Going back to what I said about the Red Sox pitching - I can't/didn't really comment on the relievers but I was talking about the starting pitchers which so far is coming true.

so like I said, 8 pitchers are listed there but only 5 starters are needed. and on the pitchers, lots of questions to me....

Beckett, usually doesn't have a great regular season, either cause he has an injury or season is too long.

Lester, last year was his only first really good year. 16-6, so that is alot of pressure to make him your #2.

Dice, throws alot of pitches, gives up some homers. Would like that to stop and just get the other team out faster.

Then I forget who are your next 2 pitchers from that list of 5.

Beckett down 6-0. His arm doesn't look good.

also who are the Red Sox starting 5 > still these 5 guys.

Beckett
Lester
Matsuzaka
Penny
Wakefield

Boston just tied the game 6-6. Boston really knows how to rally. Yes, I am watching the game on Fox right now, since I have nothing else to do yet. I love these "Yankees Suck" chants by the Boston Fans, cause it is so true.

Wow, the Red Sox just took the lead. Further proof that the Yankees can't pitch for jack, hence blowing a 6-0 lead.

9 in a row. Good ole' fashion, four and a half hour, 16-11 pitcher's duel.

Yankees pitching staff = Awesome

Yankees bullpen is terrible. I have to say the Red Sox offense is now really starting to get going. I don't like seeing Beckett giving up that many runs hopefully that doesn't happen too often.

The Angels almost did it, but the Mariners spoiled it for us at the end, hence my name for them, the Seattle Spoilers. Although the Angels never lead the game, we had a rally at the end, but it was not enough as we lost 8-9. At least Hunter got his 7th homerun, keeping his streak of hitting a homerun every other game. The Angels are off to a 6-11 start, but with 5 pitchers in the DL (and one that's dead), it is tough for us. By May, we will get it together and win all these games, especially with a Yankees series coming next week. Yankees games = More wins for us.

Nice, the Angels salvage the last game of the series. Weaver did his job, going 7 innings with only 3 hits and no runs with five strike outs, and the bullpen are getting out of their funk with Shields shutting them out, and Fuentes closing the door (striking out on all three of the outs). The offense pounded them today too, with 14 hits, and 8 runs, including two homeruns by Rivera and Kendrick. Brandon Wood made his season debut today too, and started in good fashion, getting 1 hit (and reached one on an error) at 4 at bats. Let's keep playing this way, shall we. Now we are 7-11.

10 in a row

Ellsbury steals home.

Pitching only allows one run. Bullpen was great.

Pretty good night overall.
