Sorry, I'm just getting frustrated by the double standard I see on the blogs and the political boards I am on -- Fox News has done many similar things in the past, but suddenly when CNN does it, it's a big issue. I don't see this as a double standard. Fox News is a joke; CNN on the other hand has always appealed to me as a more or less professional network. It's got its own set of blowhards (will someone rid the world of Nancy Grace and Lou Dobbs already?), but for the most part I expect it to report the news, not debate the protesters.

I've never said they were right to do this; I'm just carrying over frustration from that political board to this one I guess, because the right wingnuts on that board sincerely believe that Fox is completely unbiased and all the other networks are liberal propaganda machines.

 Re: Tea Parties??
I'd sooner watch Fox News Ludovico-style for half the day than continue to see Nancy Grace suck air.

 Re: Tea Parties??
It's her insufferable "Everyone is guilty" attitude, and her involvement in that woman killing herself. Southern belle bitch.

 Re: Tea Parties??
Agreed. I don't care that his radio show and tv show have strong ratings. He simply parrots talking points and his fake laugh annoys me. I have nothing against him personally and he seems a nice enough guy, but for the life of me I cannot understand how he ever became this big. At least Rush can be funny. The only show on Fox that I can tolerate is Special Report with Bret Baier.
Seeing as I do not have cable (or tv for that matter), I read most of my news.

Caius wrote: Jedi, what tax bracket are you in? Does anyone here, other than Groucho and Krem, even pay federal income taxes? And I do not mean file, I mean pay. Being single with no dependents I have to pay federal taxes and have been doing so for the past few years since I graduated (post college I have always been in the 25% bracket). Though my situation has been unique since I have had to pay foreign taxes and have been given a foreign tax credit for the past couple years. Sure makes filing complicated... What killed people in Puerto Rico and made them angry wasn't the income brackets, but the inclusion of a sales tax which previously didn't exist. Prior to Nov. 2006 there was no sales tax. It was crazy when I arrived here because I was so used to paying sales tax in all the states I have lived (on most items at least). However, the sales tax has been a significant burden for people here. There were promises about to repeal it, but with the government lacking funding I doubt that will happen.

CNN is losing viewers because it's being as neutral as it can. Going extreme will actually help its ratings. I wouldn't like it but that's the truth. msnbc finishes last http://tvbythenumbers.com/2009/04/17/ca ... l-16/16968MSNBC has always finished last, but their ratings at night have improved hugely in the last year or so (Olberman and Maddow especially) MSNBC does its best between 7-10 EST the problem for the the rest sucks. Their afternoon and morning announcers are horrible.
