 2008-2009 College Basketball Thread
Time to start one! So far, UNC lost one of their talented freshmen for the season. UCLA just lost. Duke is still not in sync; will play Michigan on Friday. And Stephen Curry continues to be crazily good even though he is playing point guard now, averaging 35.3 ppg and 7.3 apg.

Anyone watch the Texas Tech game last night? 167 points in a non-OT game in college? Wow, TT must like the run and gun in every sport!

I've been to all three Nova games so far. They look alright, hopefully they're just playing down to their competition. Great to see UCLA and USC lose!

Nova put a hurting on URI last night, which was really their first test of the year. Next big game is Texas at MSG.

UNC looks unstoppable so far.
And we get to play Michigan again on Saturday.

I'm looking forward to UNC somehow slipping in the tourney and Uconn taking it all.
that'd just about make me the happiest guy ever

Gus Johnson should cover every sporting event ever. I have absolutely no interest in this Uconn/Gonzaga game and yet I'm on the edge of my seat simply by listening to this guy.

that'd just about make me the happiest guy ever I think UConn is the best team right now. They are just so deep and when Robinson gets healthy they will be even more dangerous.

 Re: 2008-2009 College Basketball Thread
Duke has looked pretty good so far except for that one slip-up at Michigan.

The Minnesota Gophers are having a phenomenal season. They're 16-1 and beat Wisconsin in Wisconsin tonight.

 Re: 2008-2009 College Basketball Thread
With all the acclaims Big East is getting this year, ACC is absolutely crazy as well. Maryland just came back from 16pts down to shock UNC today. I'm hoping 8 teams could get in.
Definitely down year for Pac-10 and SEC.

 Re: 2008-2009 College Basketball Thread
Nobody wants to stay #1 Providence beat Pitt tonight so Uconn will get it back if they beat Marquette. Big East is the best conference though, they have 5 teams in the top 10 and could have 4 teams in the top 8 in the tournament.

I don't know how college basketball works pre March Madness, but Syracuse and Connecticut are in 4th overtime holy crap. Tied with 38 secs left in it too.
