And, I'm also sick of the morons who curse like a sailor when they're canned. They look like such idiots in front of all those people outside the audition room.
i agree. i hate when morons who have no talent go crazy and curse up a storm when they're rejected and say idiotic stuff like "i'll be back, i'll have a number one record soon and you'll be sorry." they make themselves look like jackasses, and i would just like to slap some sense into them.

Out of what we saw, I like David Brown, Sarah Mathers and the crooner Ross as my longshot. A couple I didn't necessarily love, but sang very well and may go far are that Fedorov kid and Mario.

I think the Hollywood shows continue on to next week too, there's 97? left now and I think after tomorrow we will have 48, then next week they will wittle it down to 24, I'm not positive on that but I think that's the way its gonna be.
As for this episode I agree with the sentiment that they shouldn't have shown all that stupid touring stuff. I don't care that they visited the set of The O.C. or that they don't have beaches like that in Brooklyn, just devote the time to the singing - you know..what everyone is there for.
There were a few people that I liked but I can't recall their names except for the afformentioned David Brown and Sarah Mathers. By next week I will have the names down, because hopefully by then we will actually have seen them sing and not visit the beach.
I had heard about the mother leaving so I wasn't surprised about that, I was actually surprised they let her through. She was not into her performance and her vocals seemed less than stellar.
Tomorrow looks interesting.

A note about the twin that went home. He and his brother had a record released on a small label.
I imagine that was sometime ago, so maybe the whole obsession over AI was their attempt to beat the clock.

Those three at the end must have had a hell of a day before that debacle. That was pathetic, they all would have been sent home if it were me. Actually a lot of people would have been sent home - I wasn't that impressed.
That Scott Savil annoyed me with his attitude, sure he came around and has a good voice but I don't see the American public warming up to him. Also didn't like Elizabeth Pha's entire group, I don't think the way to help her learn the words is to isolate her and bash her - but then again, what do I know?
The whole judges thing, once again overblown. I don't think Simon has some sort of mind controlling powers on Randy, Randy just had a change of heart - if that's what happened.
Bring on individual auditions, I was getting tired of group after group of forgetting the words and the constant infighting. Although I don't think word forgetting will suddenly stop next week...

Yeah, I actually think that that Elizabeth girl had a better voice than the other two in her group, but she was just a few sandwiches shy of a picnic if you know what I mean.
Aside from that, the episode really didn't show me anything. The three that I listed as my favourites all made it through, yet they didn't bother to show any of them sing:-k . They did show that Mario dude again and it strengthened by opinion that he will probably make the final 10, perhaps along with that dreadlocked teacher guy.

Kind of girl you can trick to get into your car. I was digging those heels when she was walking away.

At this point he's my favourite male voice and I hope he makes it far. Mario just seems too....I don't know the correct term so let's just use a buzzword from last year: 'affected'

I thought that was weird too. I do think she should have just ignored the parents rather than dwell on it.

I really felt sick to my stomach when they let ALL three of those stooges through at the end. They cut a few people who only mucked up two or three lines, yet these guys didn't even sing the song at all, really. Seemed like favoritism to me. I can see if they blew them away the previous audition, but they can't base this on one goddamn performance to carry them through. They need to deliver EVERY single time, in evry aspect. I felt no sympathy for them, but yet they still got through. I was pissed off.
Right now, only two stand out for me from the whole lot. The rocker guy who left his band (I like him a lot), and the dreadlocks guy. I liked them. But, I guess I won't be choosing real favorites until we get down to the final 12.

Well I can't watch the Wednesday episodes anymore!! Fox moved it to 9pm which coincides with one of my favorite shows Alias which I will definitly be watching instead of this, but there are still the Tuesday episodes and The Simple Life 3: Interns @ 8:30pm on Fox Wednesday.

Then do what I do, and watch American Idol while taping Alias, if possible.

All right all right! Calm down, Spidey. Idol isn't all that great, anyway. I'll still watch.
