Perhaps they didn't count it when I picked him up the 1st time? with Yahoo fantasy sports if you pick someone up and then drop them during the same day they do not get dropped to waivers unless you play them in your starting lineup this keeps someone from just grabbing all the redhot players and dropping them just to piss everyone off so no one else can pick them up etc etc....which is what alot of people used to do with football on Sundays

That's a good rule to have. I was thinking that exact same thing when I picked up Young and then realized I didn't have room for him.

Re: NBA Fantasy League (Dirkules back on top)
what a terrible week...waste my waiver pick on S jackson just to have him get injured AGAIN....then Peja goes down, then DJ goes down, then Daniels gets the FLU !!!!
and wth, Scoila gets 23/10 one night and the next night he gets 3/4 ?!?!?!?
guess this will shoot me down to the bottom with a long hill to climb

Re: NBA Fantasy League (Dirkules back on top)
Not that it matters too much, but when I looked earlier today at the match from last week between Rev and I it was 5-5-1. I just looked again and it was 6-5 in my favor. Not that it matters much, but I wonder why they had it at 5-5-1 originally...?

Yahoo is first putting the results after saturday into the standing, don't ask me why, and later puts in the final results

Re: NBA Fantasy League (Dirkules barely holds on to the lead)
Boozer continues to be out, and there is no sight of him returning yet. I'm down to have only Spencer, who has cooled down significantly since his torrid start, playing the center spot. Anyone willing to trade me a center?

I actually thought of offering Marion instead, but decided he has more of an potential upside. Basically I ended up switching Wallace for Nene, and I'll definitely take that (unless Nene's injury history bites me).

At this point im just looking for that magic combo of players, like I had last year, so hoping Durant adds that missing link.... Shaq is suprising me but who knows how long that will last... I am kicking myself this year for : 1) dropping Andre Miller 2) trading Bogut for Jermaine O'neal... I was just sure O'neal would break his ankle or something ...Bogut sucks...

Re: NBA Fantasy League (Dirkules barely holds on to the lead)
Dang, I lost 3 big contributors this week to injury - Melo, Maggette (please come back... I miss you) and Okur. I think Melo's going to play today. Hopefully his elbow is better. Maggette will hopefully be back by next week and Okur should be back Monday.

Re: NBA Fantasy League (Dirkules barely holds on to the lead)
I really improved my team on the waiver wire. Howard, Miller and Ilgauskas fell to me and really produced. After the draft I didn't have much chances to reach the playoffs but now it looks way better

Were you ever lower than the #6 position?

Re: NBA Fantasy League (Dirkules barely holds on to the lead)
I think that I had a pretty good draft. The thing that really has kept me down has been injuries to some key guys. And I don't want to put them on waivers because I have the hope that their production would/will return when they come back from those injuries.

We should have had more bench spots. The commissioner is an idiot

On the other hand it is quite an interesting challenge how you handle injuries, weighing up short-term effects against long ones
