 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
LOL we started Bargnani against him, what do you expect. Hopefully this is the end of that experiment, I was ok with it when he was playing against Daequon Cook and Bobby Simmons, now it's just destroyed him and his confidence and made him a chucker.
I'm past the sad phase now into the laughing phase. This team sucks! Meanwhile Bosh is averaging 18ppg/playing like a pussy/laughing during blowouts since his MVP comment... way to live up to your words!

Cavs are boring now. They need to face a team they aren't going to beat by twenty points.

I'll be interested to see how well Oden does against Howard and viceversa.

Ugh... the wheels are coming off the Pistons bus! They're losing to the league doormats now... like Minnesota and Washington! This is going to be a tough season to watch. This Iverson/Billups trade was the biggest boneheaded move by Dumars since he drafted Darko Milicic over Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh.

Yea, it's starting to look like trading a finals MVP who distributes and makes his team better, plays d, and leads, for a career loser who makes his teammates and flow worse by dominating the ball, plays no d, and doesn't lead, wasn't such a good idea!

And they're paying $21 million this year for those fine attributes that Iverson brings to the table! What a bargain. Oh well, maybe we can snag Chris Bosh away from your team, with all that cap space we'll have after AI leaves.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Dunno... I'm half open to trading him right now. Everything about his attitude this year yells he's gone in 2010, it's not the same enthused leader Bosh from the last five years, not even close... His stats say its his best season ever and the rest of the team sucks, but lately he's been as big a problem as anyone... coasting and playing horrible on d, taking stupid 3s, passing less, in general no effort... no example being set. Then there's the MVP comment and saying the players had no responsibility in Mitchell's firing, doing layups during timeouts, laughing and smiling on the bench in all these losses... His value is as high now as it will be before 2010, the longer we keep him the more risk there is of teams picking up on his slacking or I want out attitude if it becomes really apparant like with Carter, which would kill his value. He'd stay is if we were good by then, but we have less trade options than anyone. I'm afraid Colangelo's gonna do something drastic like trade Bargnani for Corey Maggette Either way IMO Bosh doesn't belong in the same talks as Garnett/Duncan/Howard/etc. because of his horrible defence and as he doesn't make his teammates better... He'll do fine as a #2 guy beside Lebron or Wade, which is what I think will happen, but as a #1, I dunno, I'm not confident in it. Colangelo has really hit the diarrehea zone since that 47 win year... we had Ford/Calderon, Bosh, Bargnani when he still had a Dirk future, the best bench in the league, the executive and coach of of the year... the last two years have been like a teenage virgin getting a girl to his room and finding out she has a penis.

Tough loss for us tonight. Those are the kind of games you gotta have if you're gonna be a legit contender.

Wow Orlando is 17-5... Take away their 0-2 start and they're 17-3 or identical to the Lakers Stan Van Gundy is awesome

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
another inexplicable loss by the Lakers. As of right now they are definitely behind Boston and Cleveland in dominance.
And wow @ Duncan. Way to carry your team. He definitely still has it.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Nowitzki was also great in that game. Man, what a sweet jumper. But indeed, Duncan is still amazing. And there's lots to be jealous about Portland, and surprisingly, the least about Oden. Still lots of time for him. Knicks are definitely better than previous season, and we could've won against the Bulls, but hey, lots of bad plays at the end of game. Hoping to kick Jersey's arse tonight. And btw, here's a great site all of you might appreciate, I certainly do.

I love the trade. Diaw is only good when he starts, and he never starts. Bell has been a cold shooter for about 2 years now.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Wow I thought MJ couldn't get more retarded... I mean if you're gonna trade for a poo poo platter, at least get short contracts...
We would've given them Bargnani/Humphries/Parker for Jrich if they wanted... probably would've been a better deal
Suns get bailed out BIG TIME. Happy I have JRich on my fantasy team!

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Damn the Suns get Dudley too... I like him...
I don't think they can win with this lineup as presently constructed though, Bell and Diaw were like the only people playing defense on that team. Their best chance would to go up tempo crazy again, but with Shaq there...

They can still play the new system. But they do need to go on more fast breaks.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Come to think of it I don't know why they took Richardson instead of Wallace... Wallace would have been perfect with Nash, Marion 2.0. Plus you could have gotten him for less. MJ probably would've done Diaw for Wallace straight up. I would be way more confident in Nash/Bell/Wallace/Amare/Shaq than this

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
I swear the Bargnani-JO frontcourt is better than Bosh-JO, or at least it has been for the last couple weeks. Bargnani has no offense but those two together make the defensive much better. I did NOT think I'd be saying that, ever.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
I haven't watched the games, but do the Cavs really look better than ever?
From stats alone, it looks like Mo Williams is evolving...but not quite as a PG. Well, regardless of his position, he's playing the Scottie Pippen role okay.
The team does seem pretty balanced, if Williams can keep his numbers up. With two good defensemen, two clutch seniors, and two young, sometimes-electric guards...are we the team to beat?

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
MELO is on FIRE!!!! What a great 3rd quarter!
Holy cow it seemed like he was going to make every shot he tried! He made like 8 (I'll have to check on that later) in a row, including some 3s. He finally missed a three at the end of the quarter. Wow, that was a great performance.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Well he needed that quarter because the other 3 he was pretty dang mediocre. But he got 11 rebounds to go along with the 45 points. Good game, but really he did most of it in that unbelievable 3rd quarter.

Celtics win again. They go to 21-2. With that win that makes 13 in a row for the Green. And with their 21-2 record they're now off to the best start in the franchise's history.
So yeah......they're good.
