Watching the states go blue, I knew that VA and OH would make them call the election. Seems like it will be a bigger electoral vote win for Obama than I thought though.
I enjoyed and like McCain's speech. It was much better than anything he said during the debates/speeches on the trail. It makes me wonder what would have happened had he spoke more like that and less negative. Hey that new Governor of PR, does he want PR to be the 51st state or what?

I hope nothing happens to him. I think that would totally crush America.

This might be a dumb question, but what happens to McCain and Palin now?

I am fairly new to PR politics, but I can say that he is going all out on that front. Makes sense cause Fortuno wants to make sure that Progressive Party makes PR a state. That's a whole different story in the US, but makes for interesting politics in PR. Never heard so many people chillando gomas en mi vida!!

I think he's standing in front of a clear bulletproof shield (MSNBC did a side camera shot). You win...this time. The glass is on the sides.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG You guys
WE FUCKING DID IT
OBAMANATION
WE WERE JUST A PART OF HISTORY. I've already alternated between jumping up and down screaming, calling everyone I know excitedly, and I even cried tears of joy at one point.
A CHANGE IS GONNA COME

The Dark Knight wrote: Not the best Obama speech but fine enough. Is that the theme song from Bonanza? A few bits of that speech really resonated though. He's a good speaker. Though gracious, McCain's speech came across as memorized and robotic. Obama's seemed more natural. Of course, it's always easier for the winner.

I love it when he does the 'Yes We Can' bit, and then the crowd repeats it after him each time. I find it really inspirational.
Soon, the US will have a better President than Canada's Prime Minister. I love the US right now.
Peace, Mike

Peace, Mike I dont know. I dont like Harper, but I like the fact that our Conservative government is still more left wing in comparison to the democrats. So that makes me proud of our government in that way. But in terms of being a leader Obama does appear to be better than Harper, but he still has nothing on Chretien and his golf balls

I have never understood why Puerto Ricans think that it is up to them whether they are made a state or not. I don't see what he can pursuade the US with? Maybe sugarcane and other commodities could be harvested if needed. However, what is there that US couldn't do now that it could do if PR was a state? This is an incredibly lengthy discussion, but I don't know right now. Maybe the US would be open to it, but so much would have to change. Then again, I bet people were saying the same thing about Hawaii in the 40s.

O and I made it through the speech Snrub! As an avid fan of US history, I enjoyed the speech and it's focal point of the 106 yr old lady. Well done.
