You scored 20 out of a possible 30
Good work. You know your stuff (but aren't obsessed by the campaign).

Re: Can we get an Election Day General Discussion Thread?
i've been hearing in key battleground states (Ohio, Penn, and Virginia) that there has been black panther intimidation.
I was watching CNN earlier and they interviewed one African-American about why he and his friends were voting obama and he said change. When the guy asked what kind of change was he hoping for he goes "change for the future, we just need the change, we gotta have change and hope and that stuff, obama does that." Then when the guy asked what policies he likes of obama he goes, "he wants change."

the only prop down here in Arkansas i'm very interested about is Prop Intiative 1. It's a prop that would only allow married couples to adopt children.

that's not appeasing republicans. Why the fuck wouldn't he put republicans in his cabinet? If he really wants to be bipartisan he should.

I agree and he has said he is very willing to do that and he doesn't look at as appeasing. Yeah there are some extreme liberals on the left who won't like it though.

Gosh, I only got 16/30.
In my defense, some of those questions were pointless. Who cares how long Obama's book has been on the bestseller list or what month/year McCain had financial troubles. That's just cheesy!

Predixs?
352 - 186
I think 31 electoral votes will be hotly contested in Ohio and Missouri, but it won't matter.

This is potentially the most important day of my life. It's not like we're electing Martin Luther King Jr. here. Calm down. Don't down play the history here. Realize just 150 years ago African-Americans were mostly enslaved and just 50 years ago most of them couldn't vote because of the poll tax nonsense. This election is historic and if Obama wins it will remembered in the history book for centuries.

Quote: This measure would cut the state personal income tax rate in half for 2009 and eliminate the state personal income tax starting in 2010. A similar measure was on the ballot in 2002 but failed http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/result ... .measures/Massachusetts question that is labeled Repeal the State Income Tax. If this doesn't pass these people must be stupid. I can't imagine people actually have a choice whether to pay taxes or not pay taxes and go ahead and mark Yes (I want to continue paying this tax).

Re: Can we get an Election Day General Discussion Thread?
Just voted. A little crowded, but not too many people. Maybe 30 or so, which is more than the election day in 2006 and during the primary back on May 13th. But I went fairly late, pretty sure the majority have already voted, and I know early voting was popular here. I asked if turnout was going well, and one of the poll workers told me it was very high.
