Money-wise, yes. In fact, virtually all of the Yes on 8 funding has come from the Mormon church in Utah, $20 million worth.

I mean on voting "No". I'm not interested in associating myself with Mormon lunatics and gaybashers, in fact, I'd like to flip the bird to them.

That's why I'm saying, The best you can do as an out-of-stater is donate money to No on 8, and spread the word to anyone and everyone you know in California.

I've done what I can. No one I know is voting "yes" for this thing.

We are neck and neck in raising money and the YES side is getting a surge now because we got a bug surge last week. But, of course, the surge closest to the election will probably make the difference, especially in who gets more ad time on TV.

Prop 8 now losing by 50% to 47% with 3% undecided. Close but hopeful. Please spread the word and don't give up!

If we get the landslide we are hoping for, it will help defeat this, and if we defeat this, it will send a clear and unambigious signal to the people who have hijacked our country for the past 8 years.

Obama sweeping may actually hurt us. Because as the east-coats determines the election, people in Cali (for Obama) will not see any point in voting while McCain supporters will try to get out more. And, of course, majority of Obama supporters are opposed to Prop 8.

Possible, but that's not usually the way it happens. Voters on the losing side get dejected, not energized, and give up.

I'm glad to say that whatever happens, ultimately discrimination and bigotry lose. It takes a long time, but equality does eventually win out.

You mean the movement to ban gay marriage? If Prop 8 loses, I don't see California EVER banning gay marriage again.

Nope. And isn't there a saying of some sort like "as California goes, so goes the nation."? I know Cali is usually the leader of things like this. If this fails (and I so hope it does) I think we will see most of New England, New York, Delaware and possibly a few others states start legalizing gay marriage. It will take some time obviously, but it will happen. I think even states like New Jersey (that has civil unions) and some mountain west states with a large number of libertarians make the push.

About 62% yes. Very high chance it will pass now (a turn is still possible though, depending on voter turnout in Broward/Palm Beach/Miami)
