He said he's suspend his campaign to deal with the crisis. Except he didn't suspend his campaign at all, and when he got to Washington, he offered no new plans, probably derailed the one being negotiated, and sat there in silence during a meeting with Bush and Congress.

He said he'd refuse to debate until a plan was reached, but there is still no plan and McCain has agreed to go on with the debate.
