Michigan loses to a MAC team for the first time in history.
Pathetic. If something isn't done soon, we're going to miss a bowl and have a losing season.

 Re: 2008 College Football Dicussion
Why does this happen every dang year lately?
OU didn't lose today because of Bradford. He has 5TDs to 1 INT and they lose by 10. How does that happen? I'll tell ya. When the freaking Defense can't stop the other team on third down and special teams giving up a return TD. I should also complain about the offense being given running plays when the run game did Diddly squat and yet they run it on 2nd and 5 with about 6 minutes to go. They have a passing game that was finding holes all day long yet put themselves in a 3rd down that was obviously gonna be pass. Disgusting. I sure hope OU doesn't make it to the Big 12 title game because I don't want to be let down in a BCS game AGAIN.

Michigan lossing to Toledo 13 Michigan 10! God what a sad bunch of losers and a waste of a football team.
Thought the as-kicking by USC and loss to App State were bad but I guess this shitty team will allways suck.
At least they give me a big laugh.

Wow, looks like 3 out of the top 4 teams in the country lose today! Absolutely stunning. The only one I saw coming was the Florida Vs. LSU just because of the speed that Florida has.

 Re: 2008 College Football Dicussion
The Big 12 and the SEC are going to have a hard time having an undefeated team at the end of the season. I don't really see Penn State losing to Ohio State. At this point they seem the most likely to get the BCS Championship.

 Re: 2008 College Football Dicussion
Wow.
TCU laid the Hammer down on BYU. Maybe OU should be playing TCU at Ft Worth so I can see how really good the offense is. Enough of the +20 point home field advantage against good competition.

OU's Bradford has 313 yards passing ... in the first half. The OU/KU game has been a lot closer than I though it would be...

 Re: 2008 College Football Dicussion
Still watching OU v KS...what a Long game.
Here's my beef. KS has 6 minutes to go in the 4th down 21 points and they do run, pass, QB forced to run and punt.
You are down 21 and decide to Punt? wth
Give your team a chance to try to win and go for it on 4th and 3. What have you got to lose at that point? You need three scores and if you punt you know OU is going to be running the ball and even if you don't make it at least you gave yourself a chance.
Also, I don't know what happened to the KS offense plan but after KS had pulled to within 1 TD early in the 3rd quarter they just absolutely Stopped running plays for JS, formations with JS and going to Jake Sharp who was burning up the OU defense on the previous drive that got them within one score. The next time I saw him do anything was late in the 4th quarter.
in other news...
PSU wins again and I don't see them losing to OSU even thought it's at Ohio st. OK State wins vs a weak Baylor and sets up a showdown with TX in Austin. Ooh baby! wtf is that game going to be on at 2:30 instead of primetime? AL escapes Houston Nutt and Ole Miss by 4. Will they drop a spot? USC punishes a beyond TERRIBLE WA state team and they are ranked #4? Can we please stop propping them up beating up on a terrible Pac-10 conference this year.

 Re: 2008 College Football Dicussion
Yea, that KU/OU game went on forever. I definitely have my doubts now about OU's defense. That's two weeks in a row that they gave up huge points. OU's offense this time was too much for KU though. I am surprised that KU didn't go for it. They have a great offense ... and you haven't been able to stop OU much. Didn't make much sense.
I was almost worried about Penn State at the beginning of their game. They looked slow and out of sync. They eventually pulled it together and blew out Michigan. Michigan was looking great until that safety. That took the wind out of them and turned all the momentum to Penn State. As for the OSU game, I think it depends how Penn State starts. If they have a start like they did against Michigan today I don't know if they can hold up against the pressure in OSU. Of course, maybe this game was a wakeup call that they need to start like they finish.
The Alabama game was close, but I give credit to Ole Miss. They beat Florida and at times have looked like a great team. I don't think they'll drop because of the loss. Michigan is horrible this year and I don't think the polls will bump Alabama down because of this close win.
Yea, I have no love for USC right now. That was a drubbing but against a bad team.
I think that Ok. St. is a better team than Texas Tech. Texas Tech hasn't beaten a good team yet and haven't had a really decisive win either.
Up next, flipping between game 6 of the Sox/Rays and the Mizzou/Texas game.

If anyone else gets DirecTV, got to channel 613 and watch this UTEP/Tulsa game. Tied at 28 at the end of the first quarter. Over 500 yards of combined offense.

 Re: 2008 College Football Dicussion
Holy crap. That game is insane. Hopefully it continues that way, haha.
Thus far from the Texas/Mizzou game it has been all Texas. Their defense has been stingy and their offense has been powerful. If it continues like this it's going to be a blowout.
