Unbelievable. Palin is refusing to talk with the press.
This is either arrogance or fear. Their spin from the McCain camp indicates arrogance.
Given what we know over the past week about her lies about reform, her one speech written by someone else before she was even selected as the veep, her refusal to the talk to the press, her new celebrity status, her lack of experience, and the demi-god-like worship of her by the base, is there ANYTHING that the Republicans have projected onto Obama and his supporters that does not reveal a deep, deep hypocrisy of the modern Republican party?
Btw if you count the estimated 8.7 million who watched Obama accept it on BET and UNIVISION, he really won the viewers battle
However considering we all expected the Republican convention to not even come close, it is a bit worrying to democrats as people still are looking at the republicans.
Quote:
It'll make Obama look a little soft but it's the smartest thing to do really. Obama hasn't been known to go on the offensive so it probably won't be good for him to start now.
If Hillary did go head to head with Palin though, everyone would tear her (Hillary) yet another new asshole.
Seriousily, Democrates are idiots, ATTACK GOD DAMN IT!!! No one cares about being nice when a Woman is attacking you with funny and cleaver attacks. If you sit there and ignore it, this leaves you open to more attacks and even more attacks.
Kerry took the moral high ground and lost...
Al Gore took the moral high ground and lost.
Both time Chenny and Rove where on the attack, while Bush just talked other stuff.
Obama is playing the moral high ground and its still tied and if it goes in tied he will lose due to the race factor. Biden needs to be like Palin or Cheney.
You know why Clinton became President??
Its because he fought back and knew the republican would attack their own mother to win.
I cannot believe the democrats are going to play nice.
If Hilary was around she would have owned McCain and Palin by now easily, and she would have won easily.
The party needs to attack the republicans like you guys are.

Here's why they are keeping her away from the press:
And I agree, it is so much hypocrisy. One republican put it this way:
We conservatives have had a good time ridiculing the Obama phenomenon, especially its messianic feel -- the willingness of its adherents to pour so much hope and belief into such an empty, or at least incomplete, vessel -- and its elevation of "narrative" over substance.
It turns out that we were dying to have basically the same experience.

Re: The Republican Convention
Obama is fighting back:
"And suddenly he's the change agent? Ha. He says, 'I'm going to tell those lobbyists that their days of running Washington are over.' Who is he going to tell? Is he going to tell his campaign chairman, who's one of the biggest corporate lobbyists in Washington? Is he going to tell his campaign manager, who was one of the biggest corporate lobbyists in Washington?"
"I mean, come on, they must think you're stupid," Obama said as the crowd laughed and cheered.
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin sent out a fundraising solicitation today that charged that "the Obama/Biden Democrats have been vicious in their attacks directed toward me, my family and John McCain."
I asked spokespeople of the McCain campaign and the Republican National Committee just which "Obama/Biden Democrats" they're referring to.
The response I got was that Obama spokesman Mark Bubriski erroneously attacked Palin as a supporter of Pat Buchanan.
That's it. That's the evidence.
An attack on Palin herself.
In other words, they can't name one person affiliated with the Obama-Biden campaign who attacked the Palin family.
But she made the charge anyway, to help raise money.
Incidentally, in 1998 Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz, told the following joke at a Republican fundraiser:
"Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly?" McCain joked about the then-President's then-teenage daughter. "Because her father is Janet Reno."

Yeah and that reporter, Jack Tapper, is a tough one who has been critical of Obama many times this year. Nobody would put him as biased to Obama based on what I've seen. McCain's war on the media is going to backfire.
