 Re: Predict McCain's VP Choice
It's going to be Romney as much as I'm not happy about it.
I wish it was Bobby Jindal.

I think it will be Romney. But I'm really bad as these sort of predictions.

 Re: Predict McCain's VP Choice
I think the attack dog choice is Romney. The solidify the base choice is Pawlenty. And the hail mary is a woman. I am not sure yet which way he'll go. If he uses Romney he opens himself up not just to ads with Romney's attacks on him but more importantly he and Romney own 12 houses combined.
Maybe Giuliani? Noun verb POW and noun verb 9/11.

Hilary Clinton.
Seriously, though, why not a woman? That will definitely lock up a large portion of the pro-Hilary anti-Obama vote.

 Re: Predict McCain's VP Choice
A woman would be a smart choice but the women available all have asterixes.
Hutchison is great but a bit old (mid 60s), which would be okay except for him being old too. Palin just had a baby and reportedly has ruled it out. Fiorina - possibly his savviest choice - has no political experience.
None of those issues are strong enough to totally rule them out though.

Have a strong feeling that it's going to be Romney.

 Re: Predict McCain's VP Choice
I think:
1. Romney
2. Giuliani
3. Lieberman

I wish for Clarence Thomas, with him not resigning his post until after the election.
However, I guess Romney.

 Re: Predict McCain's VP Choice
I've been hearing repeatedly that he's probably going to announce on Friday to take the thunder away from Obama and thus the story of his VP choice will be the talk of the town over the weekend.
Also, if he picks Romney then he'd be very stupid. Let's be honest, people are not going to voting for a ticket that has a Mormon on it. Sorry to say that, but it's true. I think he should still pick a governor.
I'd go with Pawlenty or Huckabee.

I'd go with Pawlenty or Huckabee. Neither of them would win a state or take away votes from the other party. He needs to pick someone that can swing a state or put multiple states into play.

The rumor I heard it is Pawlenty. Talk about a boring choice. Biden would eat that guy alive.

 Re: Predict McCain's VP Choice
Where did Biden's eating people alive reputation come from? In the 08 primaries where he bowed out early and made no splash or his other attempts? I remember that Kerry was supposed to eat Bush alive and same with Gore. Most people had those debates scored as splits with the split going to Bush because he was perceived as "dumb."
Finally, did Dick Cheney's debate against John Edwards or Joe Lieberman persuade anyone to vote for Bush? I think it highly doubtful.
Who else can forget the classic Jack Kemp v. Al Gore slugfest?

 Re: Predict McCain's VP Choice
Actually I remember Kerry winning those debates, but he was way behind going into them and those debates just made the race closer. Gore was a lousy debater, although he mopped the floor with Dan Quayle but that isn't hard. You have to admit though if it is Pawlenty it is an awful choice. He doesn't bring anything to the ticket.
