No, I remember very distinctly that you used my last name before. I thought it was so odd that I thought it best not to even talk about it with you and hope you forgot it.

I know I didn't freely hand it out.

The moral of the story. If you want to use the stalk word, even in snark, you probably shouldn't have private information about the person that you use it to when they didn't give said information to you.

one wouldn't know your name unless you handed it out. i thinkthere are enough people at least here who can vouch for the fact that i wouldn't have those tendencies nor would i have the need to have any.

I'd love it if Mav could post here without causing fights and drama, but it seems that his current opinion of the site is such that that will not happen. 99% of his posts seem to be aimed at either disparaging the site and its mods, or attacking Libs.

I have three suggestions as to how to fix this:

1. Mav creates a double account and starts afresh with KJ. Pretends like old Mav never existed. Sees for himself that being a newbie isn't all that bad, and that he was being needlessly paranoid about cliques and his own treatment here on KJ.
2. Mav's phone line is mysteriously cut! He tries to get online somewhere else, but it turns out the internet is completely broke wherever he goes. Thus meaning he can never go online again.
3. Perma-ban.

This whole situation has been so fucking ridiculous for quite some time.

Seriously, how the hell can this not be resolved sooner?

I agree that the admins here are sometimes too quick to act on certain things. But I know from the past, but it can be better than to be too slow. Being an admin is one hell of a diffucult job. No matter what you do there will be people who'll dislike you, seriously. That's why I would never take a job like this. I know Nebs and Roid aren't perfect, but hell is there anyone here who would claim of himself/herself they'd be a perfect admin? Even my arrogance doesn't go that far, heh.

Seriously, though, many many people here just need to either confront each other in a CIVIL way and talk out all the stuff (preferably in private) OR simply stop talking to each other WHATSOFUCKINGEVER OR the admins simply need to enforce even strikter punishments.

These seem like the three possible "solutions" to this, IMO, rather ridiculous issue.

as we can see, stricter punishments here do nothing. becuz i know when Argos and Guybrush come back, they will be posting more IMGs of Hitler. Hello mods, how about u disable some of their privileges like posting in the Water Cooler and posting IMGs. vBulletin forums do this with people with a certain number of infraction points. they can't even see the forum. They actually have to physically log off just to see what has been said in that section.

Personally to me, losing privleges to post in the Water Cooler is worse than being banned. And losing the ability to show IMGs of Hitler or w/e, omg Argos will be devistated. He will only have German left. Uh oh, he can also be prevented from coming into the Water Cooler becuz the only places he can post will be the BO/film sections, becuz that's what the site is only all about. OMG we have it. He would have no point but to find something different. he would have no reason to be on KJ. i know things like avatars and signatures can be turned off for some posters, i think maybe the mods should look into this.

while i do think bannings have become a joke of late, i think when it comes to Joe and Mav things are massively overlooked. Massively, especially in regards to me and in fairness. At least when Mav is banned or warned its for something serious. calling someone annoying doesn't even compare.

personally if 2 people have a problem together and they can't resolve it privately then they should bring it out into the open. it's amazing during my time i never managed to defame anyone. sure i called them a retard, but that is an opinion have of them that i wished to have shared because these posters openly displayed signs of retardation.

Now that you mention it, we were discussing how to disable image posting for Argos and Guybrush since their banning. That would be too hard to implement but it could be very possible. Believe me, Im very much in favor of disabling those tools for them because I actually have to look at them . The part about not being able to post on the watercooler does sound very possible since I just have to do a few configuration

Only option three is possible most of the time. It's absolutely impossible for certain people to talk civil with one another, and ignoring someone doesn't seem work either. It all just comes back to this.

Joe being denied the trailer and DVD forums
Tony being denied the video game forum.

Is there not a simple option under Forum Options permission titled "Can Post BBCode/Images"? If there isn't a specific option like that, there should be a take away all BBcode privileges persmission somewhere.

I dont know why the powers that be on this site dont permban those posters who clearly do not bring any positive thing to this site and everything they do is negative.

It's certainly not impossible, if some people would just swallow their damn pride.
