It was by far one of the greatest Olympic moments I've ever seen. You had to stay up till 11? What time do you normally go to bed... 9?

I wonder if Phelps will win 8 gold...it would get GREAT ratings.

Nikolai Andrianov of the old USSR holds the record for most medals won in a career with 15. http://www.infoplease.com/ipsa/A0115073.htmlPhelps has 10 medals already (2 in Beijing so far & 8 in Athens). After this olympic is all done he will be the most decorated olympian....EVER.

Mark Spitz has 9 golds, 1 silver and 1 bronze in his career. most gold overall in any olympic sport goes to Ray Ewry of USA (track & field). he won 10 medals total in his career and all were gold.

Re: Official Summer Olympics 2008 Thread
Phelps was amazing in the 200m freestyle. That wasn't just a win, that was a dominating win. He was well ahead right from the very start. Insanely strong start and finish, what a lovely race. Sweet stuff.
Peace, Mike
