Playing defense on the Nuggets is a sure way to get traded.

Hornets sign Posey... really great move, Miami and Boston probably wouldn't have won without him

I wonder how the Celts try to combat this, I'm not sure there is any player that plays like Posey. Except for Pierce, but he's already on the team.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
The Nuggets apparantley turned down a Josh Boone/Sean Williams/Marcus Williams/expirings/picks deal for Camby. Even worse for Denver, that's more than Camby deserves. I guess they were starved to cut cash and luxery expense at any cost, though.

It's better than Thundercats or Thunderbirds, though Barons would've been the best... I think Baron Davis existing might've thrown it off the path though

Christ, most WNBA teams have more inventive names. Then again, I guess there aren't many options for a team that comes from Oklahoma.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Nachbar going back to Europe. Delfino going back as well - both got way more money than they'd get in NBA. Now Childress (Josh, from Atlanta Hawks) got an offer from Olympiakos from Greece. Jennings already signed for Italian club (name escapes me at the moment)...so, how about you guys, do you think Europe might become basketball promise land?

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Bayless has been lighting it up on the Summer League and will most likely be the MVP of the whole thing. Granted, it's just the Summer League, but considering he's a 11th pick, that seriously bodes well for Portland.

Childress signed with Olympiakos
I'll consider this karma for the Hawks scorekeepers cheating against the most euro team in the league... twice

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
The Celtics resigned Eddie House and Tony Allen. I'm glad they're keeping them. House was big off the bench throughout the year and Allen has the capabilty of being a very good defender. He was decent when he played in the Finals so hopefully that will carry over into next year. And hopefully his knee doesn't flare up again.

Ack, the signing in Europe buzz is around Biedrins (would be awful for Warriors), Delonte West, and ... Vujacic, now. Leave Machine alone god dammit!

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
I guess Thunder wasn't confirmed, it was assumed because that's what they were using at their nickname on their official website, but they never announced it Barons would be the best Energy, Wind, and Bison

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
We traded Balkman for...well, someone. Yeah, he couldn't hit a shot, but his energy made me a big fan of his, and now he's in fekkin Denver. :/
NBA really sucks sometimes.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
My money is on the Barons or Bison with my gut leaning towards Bison as horrible as it sounds.
And as for the Knicks trade they're getting back Taurean Green, forward Bobby Jones and a second-round draft pick in 2010.
The Warriors also re-signed center Andris Biedrins for six years worth $62 million. And Ricky Davis is going to the Clippers.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Biedrins contract includes about 9m in incentives (needs to hit a certain goals to get all of the 63m), so it's actually about 6/53
Pretty damn solid for a talented big.

Okafor signs 6 year/72 mil. Overpaid IMO, I think Biedrins is a better player, and a lot healthier too.
