Appointed more convicted criminals to administration positions than any president in U.S. history.

Set the record for the least amount of press conferences than any president since the advent of television.

Signed more laws and executive orders amending the Constitution than any president in U.S. history.

Presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history and refused to use the national reserves as past presidents have.

Cut healthcare benefits for war veterans.

Set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously take to the streets to protest me (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind.

Dissolved more international treaties than any president in U.S. history.

First president in U.S. history to order a U.S. attack and military occupation of a sovereign nation.

Refused to allow inspectors access to U.S. prisoners of war and by default no longer abide by the Geneva Conventions.

Fist U.S. president in history to have a majority of the people of Europe (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and stability.

Failed to capture the anthrax killer who tried to murder the leaders of our country at the United States Capital building.

That's the only thing I don't agree with, as I don't think digging into the stockpiles would accomplish much, there isn't a shortage of gasoline.

As long as people like you repeatedly vote for him and are going to vote for the guy who's basically going to continue Bush's policies, then yes, it's worth repeating what an unmitigated disaster he's been.

If Jim is a moderate, then everyone's a moderate. I made an incorrect assumption about who he was going to vote for, but I think it was a fairly reasonable assumption given his political views and those shared by the other conservatives on this board.

No that is not true, you forget the depression where the stock market went down by 13% in one day...

I'm not a moderate. According to every test I have ever taken I am a libertarian, which I do think probably fits me well. I do not believe in abortion or gay marriage however I do not seek to amend the constitution, i think it should be up to the states to decide whether they allow one of the other. I believe the federal government has far too much control socially, economically, and I believe that the current administration that the Foreign Policy is one of the most inept Foreign Policies I have ever seen. Basically I like Ron Paul.

Actually percentage wise I think what Groucho said is partially true, if you use a particular measure. Nasdaq dropped from the high of 5,132.52 in March of 2000 to the low of 1,108.49 in Oct of 2002, a 78.4% decline; that's the biggest over Nasdaq's entire history, although Bush wasn't there for the full duration of it.

Dow Jones is a different story, as its biggest drop happened during the Great Depression period, from 297.25 in Feb of 1929 to the low of 40.56 27 months later for an 86.4% drop.

where the real blame goes:

tech bubble burst - 50%
9/11 - 35%
war/bush - 15%

I certainly don't dispute that. Just try to list some stats to back Groucho's claim up. The stats itself doesn't indicate who is responsible for causing the stats.

I voted for Bush in '04 too.

Then again I was a naive 18 year old who didn't much care about politics.

A lot has changed in 4 years, you should give people the benefit of the doubt.

I was a supporter of Bush in 2004 as well but that was because I just despised Kerry and Edwards....

I'm actually still mad at Al Gore for turning tail and getting out of politics.

We needed him and he left us.
