Here is an example of trash talking, and why it doesn't work: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs2008/news/story?id=3372615Haywood keeps running his mouth. Not a smart move at all.

there is nothing wrong with trash talking during the game. the Hawks are talking smack and backing it up. the Wizs are just talking smack.

They've won 2 games. Barely.
That's not what I call "backing it up"

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
I'll even admit our series was boring... This is also the second year in a row we've played the team with the worst home crowd, Orlando is full of old retired people. They weren't any more pumped up than in a regular season game. Argh that was a frustrating 5 games. We were within 5 points every 4th quarter, just didn't close it out. This team needs some Reggie Evans-like players... anyone to get them going and play with heart instead of being jumpshooting wusses... fucking NO extra effort down the stretch except for in game 3. I could handle it if we lost like Houston or Atlanta, but shit. This was just ugly. and hopefully this is the end of the Smitch. Starting Bargnani at SF the first two games was ridiculous, and the huge deposits in the 1st quarters as a result hurt bad. And I'm sick of our crunchtime plays consisting of give the ball to Bosh and hope he does something with it. But the biggest red flag for me was still the mishandling of the Ford blow-up late in the year, goddamn giving him every 4th quarter and then later the starting role when he was playing like a selfish prick and losing us games... backwards thinking to say the least. I want him gone on principle, a good coach would've yelled at him and benched him, I can't stand anyone who would reward that. The team was never the same after that, going 9-17 against an easy schedule. And FUCK Bargnani, learn how to shoot again (looks at sig). Wtf happened? I mean he went from 15ppg in the second half of last year and being the best player against New Jersey, then he dominated the first two games of this season and looked like a legitimate stud, then disappeared into complete thin air had 10ppg and 38% shooting on the year. How does that happen. Frustrating year to say the least. I liked the 1-15 start/27 win team from two years ago better than this, at least they actually had heart, even if they sucked. Should be an interesting offseason. Lots of work to do.

The spirits of the two teams are polar opposite of each other even though they have essentially the same record. Yeah, although this game has tightened up a bit, you gotta believe that a Warriors/Lakers series would have been far more competitive than this has been. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Golden State was on the verge of tying the series at 2 each right now. And how about those Hawks. Game five will probably be a struggle, but a game seven seems likely at this point.

What an awful defense to give up a dunk; you never see teams like Spurs to give such an easy possession at such critical juncture of the game.

That's some BULL SHIT right there. Flagrant 1's, you don't get suspended for those. You do for what Stoudamire did.

Byron Scott is coach of the year
Could make a case for Adelman, but both choices would be fine. Just as long as it's not Doc Rivers

Both Henderson? and Kidd had flagrant 2's, neither got suspended. Also, take last nights game. 2 players from Atlanta got off the bench and were at the 3 point line when Garnett shoved the other Hawk player. Neither got suspended. Bull. Shit.

Bye Dallas, nice knowin ya. That Kidd trade... OOPS. That's what happens when you panic and trade for an overrated olding PG who's strength(running) doesn't fit you at all. I can't believe I picked them to actually win this series... great job as usual Shack.

81 points given up by the Pistons defense. That's the team I know and hate. Hopefully the Celtics can turn in a similar performance at home tomorrow night.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
D'Antoni needs to seriously consider not playing Shaq in the second half. What exactly does he bring to the table, other than an innate ability to miss really key layups.

Interesting how once Shaq leaves the game the Suns blitz the Spurs.
Think about it D'Antoni. THINK ABOUT IT.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Just tuned in (had been following the game on ESPN gamecast). If the Spurs can hang on here, it looks like this is a night Steve Nash would like to soon forget. He's just had a horrible shooting night (minus that three a few minutes ago) and those two steals aren't helping. And how many times is TNT going to air this fucking Dockers commercial?

Not the greatest of passes there. Sure the Spurs get to the line but it only took a second off the clock.
