What an awful decision to air it against the Globes, especially since they were likely to win the two awards it did win. Arghj. Now I've missed it.

To sum it up for those who missed it:
Someone got shot.
Someone got consoled for their terminally ill child.
Someone else revealed they have a brain tumor.
Someone was revealed to have killed in the past.
I hope that helps.
The pharmacist got his toe shot off while on a date with Bree. Lynette shaved her kids head because he got bubble gum stuck in his hair then day care workers thought he was ill with cancer and were especially nice to her. The man who hired Susan's boyfriend is the one who revealed he has a tumor. Susan's bf is the man revealed to have killed in the past, apparently on behalf of his ex-something Dierdre.

Susan: After Mrs. Huber's body is discovered, her sister tells Susan that the police want Mrs. Huber's diary. Figuring there is probably stuff about her in there from when she blackmailed Susan for burning Edie's house down, Susan does her best to suck up to Edie. Since Mrs. Huber's sister refuses to give her a memorial service, Edie has decided to scatter her ashes on some lake. Susan decides to join her (even though she doesn't really want to), and Edie is sincerely touched by her "kindness." Then Susan reveals she burned her house down, and Edie dumps Mrs. Huber's ashes on her. Edie agrees to forgive her as long as Susan invites her to her, Bree, Lynette and Gabrielle's weekly poker games so she can feel more "welcome."
Lynette: Lynette attempts to take a yoga class to relieve stress, but she finds herself always there a few minutes too late. The twins end up sticking gum in the hair of her other son, so she has to shave off all of his hair. The next day, she arrives at the class with her son, who is completely bald. The secretary completely misunderstands what Lynette meant when she had a "sick child", and assumes her son is fighting cancer, and immediately grants her access into the yoga class. Lynette tries to use this to her advantage.
Gabrielle: Carlos is released from prison but placed on house arrest. Gabrielle is frustrated that she has to work long days since Carlos can't go anywhere. He again pushes her to have a baby but she refuses. When Gabrielle leaves the house one day, Carlos calls the pharmacy, deciding to change her birth control pill order and swap them for lookalike pills of another kind, so that Gabrielle has no knowledge that she isn't on birth control anymore.
Bree: Bree continues to see George, the pharmacist. While at a picnic, George gives Bree (an avid member of the NRA) an antique gun, which she is fascinated by. Since George has never shot a gun before, Bree attempts to teach him. While he is holding a loaded gun, George tries to kiss her but she pulls back. This causes him to shoot himself in the foot, literally. He ends up losing a toe, and Bree realizes that she doesn't like him the same way he does her because she is still not over Rex, and she ends up rejecting an offer to "hang out" with George. George sits at home obsessively watching a surveillance tape of Bree from the pharmacy.

I missed the episode where Mrs. Hubber is murdered and now I'm all struggling to comprehend (damn! this show moves sooo fast  ). So was it Hubber who sent Mary-Alice the note? Am I missing anything else? :???:

Well, I missed this past episode but will ctach it's Saturday repeat...
Otherwise, here is a recap of some important stuff...
Mrs. Hubber was killed of by Mary-Alice's husband.
Zack, MAry Alice's kid says it was because of him that Dana died, something along that line.
Evidence shows Dana was a baby and has disappeared or is dead.
There are remains of an adult woman found in a box that Mary-Alice's husband threw in the river after he dug it up from under his pool.
Mrs. Hubber's sister has come and we find out she hates Mrs. Hubber and I guess isn't doing much.
In the last episode I read they do find Hubber's body and there also seems to be a diary of Mrs. Hubber that her sister isn't letting anyone read.
Other importan storylines include....
some new revelations about Mike....
From what I read, he is at Wysteria Lane to investigate a murder/death.... that of the daughter of his boss, who I guess we find out is dying so he wants to replace Mike for someone who will work faster. I guess you could assume the boss' daughter si the one in the box, but who was she? What was her relation to Mary-Alice's family? those are the questions we still have unaswered.
Also, Gabrielle's husband was arrested for some corrupt business and is now on house arrest and I guess has switched Gabrielle's birth control pills with fake ones?

Not saying I haven't been liking the show or finding it extremely entertaining, but I'll admit that over the past few months that the show has been on I've... :cringe:.... found it to be just a tad overrated but extremely overhyped. I felt that show had some tone issues from day: too much comedy/drama balancing attempts, not enough satire. And last week's Golden Globe win (over Arrested Development, dear God) didn't help the cause either.
Catching up on the past three episodes tonight, though, I can honestly say that I think the show has hit its stride. I think the tone it has created now actually... works. It's comfortable. And in some scenes, especially those over the past couple episodes, I've found the show to be quite dynamic.
Same with Boston Legal, by the way.
Just thought I'd say.

Well it's definitely over hyped, and if I was just tuning in I'd feel the same way. But I came to it just after it had been on the air a few few weeks and when there was little expected of it other than hoping it was something with characters and a screenplay and not 6 strangers eating bugs in real life.

It seems as though the Saturday repeats aren't the episodes that air the Sunday before. they are way back in the series.
I was hoping to catch last week's episode last night since it's the first one I've missed, but I was disappointed. O well, at least there's a new one tonight!

Who's pumped about tonight's new episode, and why don't you guys watch or at least discuss Boston Legal, which is arguably better?
I haven't been somebody that has cared to watch regular TV for years now, but I do admit to tuning in to a few shows in recent months.

I'm not a fan of Boston Legal. I did watch the episode where Candice Bergen joined, and it was improved over before, but I still don't like it.
I like Desperate Housewives wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more. Heh.

I like the humor in both shows, and the girls, but I think they are both better than the average show. Law and Order and CSI whatever have never been interesting enough to come back to, but both of these shows are. As a fan of both James Spader and William Shatner, I really enjoy Boston Legal, but I can understand why you would be such a big fan of Desperate Housewives, because it's entertainment at it's finest.

Yes, Denny (Shatner) works the courtroom tonight, and the last 3 minutes are supposed to be shocking. We can start a thread, and if Libs would be kind enough to sticky it, I'm sure it would get some people to post in it.

I was starting to like BL some right up until they added Candice Bergen and she kind of shot it to hell for me. The few episodes before she joined though were starting to get good. Mark Valley added a lot, he has a laid back irony that I find amusing.

Do it then, I will join
Shatner is my hero. 76 and he is still going strong....
I love it when Candace has to tell him to remember his name. Haha.
(Im horrible with remembering people's names. All I know: Crane, Denny Crane)

YAY NEW HOUSEWIVES!!!!
A running commentary on tonight's episode:
- OMG! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!!! Zach is cute. I want to kiss him too :-$ who cares if he is a murderer \:D/
- I have decided I don't like Gabrielle one bit. her whole story in boring. and she is totally annoying ](*,)
- I like Lynette. Her story is the only story based in reality in the show. It grounds the other craziness. =D>
-"You know what I truly, really want? Revenge!" - BREE YAY!!!
- LOL "we stayed up talking about big government, gun control..." hilarious!! how fitting that her hair is red eh?
- what is going to happen to bree with that freako guy?!?
- Go Lynette!!! Kick them a-holes out!! woo hoo! now i know why bree and her are friends hehe
- blah.. stupid gabrielle and her stupid gardner (although he is HOT); kill this storyline already. kill gabrielle!!! #-o
- yay george is gonna do some baaaad things to bree's hubby!!!
- what a sleaze ball zach's dad is. poor susan. i really enjoy this show. and we have yet to find out why alice killed herself. i wonder if we will find out this season??? it better be a shoker cuz the build up can lead to anti climatic season finale.
- OMG Dana is alive!!
- =D> =D> \:D/ tonight's episode is really lynette's. that makes me happy.
- jesus. the twists are all over the place tonight. lynette's husband cheated on her
- awww. pobrecito the gardener!
- you go bitch! yeah teri!!! =D> =D> =D>
\:D/ =D> this is a great show!!

Thoughts:
I wonder what's going to happen in the whole Rex-Bree-George triangle.
Oh, Susan. If you're going to forbid kids from seeing each other, they're just going to see each other more.
Heh, Gabrielle.
Lynette still irritates me. Go away, Lynette. (Love Tom, though).
