Post Conservatives go crazy over Mexican Vodka ad
And liberals are supposed to be the easily offended ones?

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,346964,00.html

The Absolut vodka company apologized Saturday for an ad campaign depicting the southwestern U.S. as part of Mexico amid angry calls for a boycott by U.S. consumers.

The campaign, which promotes ideal scenarios under the slogan "In an Absolut World," showed a 1830s-era map when Mexico included California, Texas and other southwestern states. Mexico still resents losing that territory in the 1848 Mexican-American War and the fight for Texas independence.

But the ads, which ran only in Mexico and have since ended, came as the United States builds up its border security amid an emotional debate over illegal immigration from their southern neighbor.

More than a dozen calls to boycott Absolut were posted on michellemalkin.com, a Web site operated by conservative columnist Michelle Malkin. The ads sparked heated comment on a half-dozen other Internet sites and blogs.

Here's where they went wrong:

"As a global company, we recognize that people in different parts of the world may lend different perspectives or interpret our ads in a different way than was intended in that market, and for that we apologize."

To conservatives, that sentence would be heard as nothing more than gibberish. "Other people with different perspectives? Haven't we bombed them all out of existence yet?"

Liberals are politically correct.
Conservatives are patriotically correct.
Liberals think America has a short penis.
Conservatives think only America has a penis.

Over a dozen calls for protest? Oh no, 15 people who don't drink aren't going to buy vodka anymore? Betcha their shaking in their boots in Stockholm. I, on the other hand, should probably pick up a bottle of Absolut next time I'm out.

Big or small, liberals just don't think we need to be sticking it in everyone's faces all the time. ;)

That's pretty hilarious. On a similar note did you hear about the organization that is pretty much dedicated solely to filing complaints with the FCC? I forget the name but they organized after Nipplegate back in 2004. The FCC stats I read said they went from a handful of complaints every year to several hundred thousand!

Insanity.
