(AP) - Democrat Barack Obama says as president he would consider putting Al Gore in a Cabinet-level positionâ€â€or higher. A woman at a town hall asked the Illinois senator if elected president would he consider tapping the former vice president for his Cabinet, or an even higher level office, to address global warming.
"I would," Obama said. "Not only will I, but I will make a commitment that Al Gore will be at the table and play a central part in us figuring out how we solve this problem. He's somebody I talk to on a regular basis. I'm already consulting with him in terms of these issues but climate change is real."
Gore, who's work on climate change earned him a Nobel Prize, he is popular among Democrats. Hah. Such grammar!

 Re: Al Gore For...Vice President?
I believe he would be barred from VPing only if he is a previous president.
Al Gore would make a great Secretary of Energy or head of the EPA, or possibly the secretary of a new Cabinet-level environmental post. I don't see him VPing.

 Re: Al Gore For...Vice President?
Terrible idea. He isn't a governor so he isn't going to be VP but I could live with Gore in a lower cabinet position.

I don't see him as the VP, cabinet position or some sort of special thing on the environment that I can see.

 Re: Al Gore For...Vice President?
The article makes no mention at all of Gore as a veep. I'm sure he'd consider a cabinet position, though.
