At this point, I'd rather anyone but Hillary. I came into this race relatively neutral towards her other than finding her a bit bitchy and cold - but I liked Thatcher so that wasn't an automatic disqualification. But man, she's been using such scummy tactics, I can't even express how much I dislike her now.

I'm not sure that would be the reason. But I certainly can see a lot of people saying "WTF? I'm finally excited about politics, and my candidate got more votes than Hillary and won more states but the insider gets in? It just goes to prove that politics is all corrupt and that someone outside the system can't win. Hell with that, I'm staying home and not voting like I always do."

(Edit: This assumes Obama gets more votes overall and Hillary wins through superdelegates and back room deals and so on.)

Jebus, Democrats better pick a candidate fast, it's getting to the point where the party is starting to polarize towards one candidate or the other, and beginning to actually dislike the candidate opposite.

Not a good sign, the last thing this party needs is to implode now. It can't do anything but hurt them in the GE, a brokered convention could be the death of the party.

The funny thing is, Obama and Hillary are so similar when it comes to policy, the differences between them are 95% superficial, yet there is such extreme polarization to one or the other. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

110% Agree, mainly because the people who are voting for clinton will vote regaurdless and it def. not be fore john mccain. However all these youngsters voting for barack will simply not vote in the election if hillarys the nominee. Not only that but if Obama gets more total votes, states n delegates...than you lose the whole group of voters to election for a while because the assumption in america is whoever gets the most votes wins, and when that doesn thappen its a huge turn off.

Good idea. Stick him on your "foes" list. That's what I did with BKB, admittedly the ultimate troll. :funny:

I've lost faith in this country. I want Hillary to stop campaigning. Whether she wins or loses tomorrow, she's doomed. No matter what she does, this country is filled with so much hate and judgemental minds. No matter what she or her husband (who mind you is NOT her) have done in the PAST, good or bad, it'll never be forgotten.

The last thing I want is to spend the next four years hearing the media and dumb fucks on this board attack Hillary unfairly.

So, you won't see me celebrating or mourning tomorrow. I'm done. And I;ve also decided that I will not be voting in November.

I'm done.

LOL, someone sounds suicidal. Did it just occur to you that Hillary was going to take all kinds of crap from the haters if she becomes President? This is not something new, so I am surprised it just occurred to you. Rush Limbaugh, et al are chomping at the bit for her to become President. It would help their ratings and would give them excuses to write more books, thus even more income for them. It would also give them a constant target to attack. Those same judgmental people that you complain about are the idiots that think Obama is a Muslim terrorist. Ignorance is bliss in America, and your candidate is not the only one dealing with it.

OK...for a while there I thought this forum was back in good shape again and that it was actually possible to have a semi-intellegent, mature conversation. Wrong again...

oh really? maybe something called rational reasons we have listed in the past are the reasons why we would never support Hillary Clinton from her betraying her countries principle by siding with Bush on the war(most vocal about I may say) to her dirty campaign against Obama

But it could sink as low such as making a trivial deal out of someone not pledging against a piece of red white and blue cloth

I'd agree with that, if your assumption is correct it may create a whole generation of jaded voters.

What are you talking about? No Country is acting so stunned that Hillary has haters out there. Welcome to the early 90's and reality is all I can say. It's not right in my opinion that she has so many haters, but it is a reality and has been for a very long time. The right wing hates her and would love to have her for target practice, just like the left wing currently has Bush as an easy target. That's all I'm getting at. Not exactly sure how this is stupid or immature?

In the wake of seeing the latest polls over the weekend, here are my final predictions for tomorrow:

Ohio - Clinton +11%
Texas - Obama +2% in popular votes, +15% in caucus
Rhode Island - Clinton +10%
Vermont - Obama +25%

In term of delegates, they basically split, so Obama comes out still leading by around 150 in pledged delegates. Clinton finds a reason to continue, claiming Ohio's margin is enough to show so-called "buyers' remorse", as she won't be in danger of running out of money just yet after what she was able to raise in Feb. The contest will continue, but the voice to settle on a winner will grow as most Democrats are satisfied with either candidate, causing the undecided votes (as well as superdelegates) to gravitate toward Obama, and he delivers a come-from-behind victory in Pennsylvania.

Well, just my random prediction anyway.

Wow, ummm ok. No offense intended because I did like that you had reasons to back up your support....but you have got to be kidding me. She was the inevitable candidate, the frontrunner who was so far in front that the oether mide as well not join. She's not losing now because the Americn public is too judgement and has too much hate.

She's losing for 2 reason.

1. She ran a horrible campaign. What else to say? Her entire plan was based around the race being over on Feb. 5th and when that didn't happe, it screwed her over for the next month till March 4th. And in that time...

2. Barack Obama has capitolized on any bit of momentum he's gotten. She was supposed to be doin what she;'s doing, but she got cocky and over confident in herself and couldnt imagine the race going past feb 5th, let alone to March 4th and now losing the nomination. Thats why many fear it may really get ugly after tomorrow because if she does lose, she probably wont drop out. And at that point...any respect most had for her is gone.

I am sorry, but there is absolutly no logic in saying she is losing due to hate and judgement people in our country. Shes the reason she lost. It was hers to lose. For lack of a better word, barring some big upsets in the coming weeks...she blew it.

It seems like a solid guess to me though personally I think she might take Texas. In the last few weeks it has been 2 on 1, Obama has had to fend off constant attacks from both McCain and Hillary, and that takes a toll.

I'm thinking both Ohio and Texas will be so close that honestly it won't matter, in terms of spin of course but in terms of actual delegates we'll probably be in the same place we are right now. Though if either wins both, however slim, it could make a big difference in public perception.

Hey, come on. If Obama weren't in the race, I'd be voting for Hillary and supporting her.

Sometimes it's just a matter of comparing and deciding you like one more than the other. It doesn't mean you hate the other one or is judgmental.

She really did run a terrible campaign, too, and Obama ran a great one... Sometimes winning is just about the game of the campaign.

Aren't a lot of polls done with "likely voters" and don't they determine who is a likely voter based on if they voted in the last presidential primary 4 years ago?

If so, won't that miss a lot of the new voters just entering the process?

Just something I've been wondering.

One bright spot for Hillary. A union (SEIU) keeps running this ad in Texas which I find really annoying. I could see it backfiring with some voters.

At least it's a positive ad. I think the 3 AM ad will backfire on Hillary here in Texas. I've talked to several neutral Democrats (not voting in the primary or caucus) that were annoyed by it. It reminds Democrats of Karl Rove, George W. Bush type of political tactics.
