Turns out he was right about Pakistan. The CIA recently used special ops to take out an Al Quaeda leader in Pakastan without the Pakistani government's permission. Barack supports this and wants to do everything in his power to fight terrorists.

He firmly believes that the biggest mistake about Iraq is that we lost focus on fighting the terrorists themselves in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Are you making some sort of individual property rights versus sovereign property rights distinction? If Obama bombed terrorists interests in Pakistan, it would still be a violation of Pakistani sovereignty. We never were fighting terrorists, at least in an overt way, in Pakistan.

You are right, it is a violation of Pakistani sovereignty. But it likely would not involve bombing the Presidential mansion is what I'm getting at. Seeing as the CIA recently did it and took out a pretty prominent Al Queada member, looks like Barack might be right on this.

If the world continues to be unstable (which it will), you need a commander in chief who will go to war with Iran or North Korea or China if needed. Or into Africa to clean things up. Bunnies and flowers and love are all great (and I'm a hippie). But I'm also a realist and when its time to swing that big stick, it's simply time. Iran? NK? China? Africa? I dont want to see our troops go to war with any of those.

If you look at him you saw a weak liberal who people would have thought would give in to the Axis. Instead he is one of our nation's strongest presidents. If you are thinking that way you should vote for McCain anyway. He has both of them beat in terms of strength look.

Clinton also showed US strength in the region in the mid 90's after China lobbed a few missiles near Taiwan. I agree with you, but I don't think the pact requires action from the U.S., just a continuance of arms sales.
