Wonder if someone will pick up Culpepper at all...

The only thing I guarantee for 2008 is that the Pats aren't going to go 16-0.

The Pats wont go undefeated. Winning the Super Bowl maybe. Like always, they have a great chance of doing that.

I'd generally stay away from Cinci... aren't they the sexy pick that fails miserably every year?

The Pats aren't going to lose many players this off season and lest we forget they have the number 7 pick (though that could be as good as traded away) is Rosey Colvin a free agent this year?

Post Re: 2008 NFL Discussion
CALLS:

-Willis McGehee is a top 3 fantasy back under Cam Cameron
-Adrian Peterson is a big bust not that people know about him
-Jonathan Stewart is better than RUN DMC
-Santonio Holmes, Dwayne Bowe, and Brandon Marshall join Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, and Braylon Edwards as the best recievers in the league. Ocho Cinco continues to find yards but no end zone and Harrison and Wayne eat into eachothers yarda dn both infish around 900-1000.

AFC:
1. New England Patriots: 16-0 - I feel next season they will be even better than this season. The line was finally learning how to block for Laurence Maroney and he was doing great. With him at 100% for a fill season, we'll have to rely less on the passing game which means defenses wont be triple teaming Moss all day.

2. Tennesee Titans: 12-4 - defense should be strong and contrary to popular belief, Vince Young has been a good qb. His recently fired qb coach made him accurate, but now we'll see him run more AND he'll be getting one of the top recievers from an excellent recieving class. With strong defense, LenWhale at power back and Vince as the speed threat....their legit.

3. Indianapolis Colts: 12-4 - they need a new running back, you heard it first. Harrison is old and theyll have to do it with Wayne again.

4. San Diego Chargers: 11-5 - LT will be LT and Rivvers, Chambers, Gates and co. wil play well but again they are not coached well enough to get past any of the above teams.

5. Baltimore Ravens: 11-5 - McGeehee will be a strong MVP choice and they want to fix QB. If they get McNabb and draft a solid reciever they will beinfrotn of san diego, but I expect McGeehee and the defense to be so good that they wont need a passing game ala San Diego in 2006.

NFC:
1. Philadelphia Eagles: 12-4 -McNabb looks great towards the end and if they make Kevin Curtis their #2 and get SOMEONE wether in the draft or free agent, this will be a major offense to contend with.

2. Dallas Cowboys: 12-4 - same as this season. T.O. will keep on playig.

3. New Orleans Saints: 11-5 - this is Reggies season, all I will say.

4. Washington Redskins: 10-6 - i dunno what to say theyll be ight as usual

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 10-6 same

Super Bowl: NE > PHILY

Obv these will change during off season...

I think so. Not sure how much the injury will impact his status though.

The Bucs can have a 10-6 record and miss the playoffs. And they can have that record and be the 5th best team in the NFC

AFC:

1. New England Patriots: 14-2
2. San Diego Chargers: 13-3
3. Indianapolis Colts: 12-4
4. Jacksonville Jaguars: 12-4
5. Cleveland Browns: 11-5
6. Pittsburgh Steelers: 10-6

The Bengals will continue to frustrate, the Texans and Bills will make a push for the playoffs, and the Titans and Broncos will barely miss out.

NFC:

1. New Orleans Saints: 12-4
2. Dallas Cowboys: 12-4
3. Seattle Seahawks: 11-5
4. Washington Redskins: 10-6
5. Chicago Bears: 9-7
6. St. Louis Rams: 9-7

The Packers prove to be a one season fluke, the Giants can't get over the Superbowl hangover, the Eagles barely miss out, the Vikings struggle, St. Louis avoids the injury plague and surprises.

Super Bowl: Chargers vs. Saints

AFC
1.Patriots-14-2 (I'd love to say they could go undefeated again, and honestly if one team could do it, it would be this one but its not happening)
2.Colts-13-3 (Will lose that last game in the last week like always)
3.Chargers-12-4 (good regular season but will mess it up in the post like always)
4.Steelers-12-4 (this team could also dissapoint as well, I'm never fully sold on them)
5.Jacksonville-11-5 (if there defense gets better this is an elite team)
6.Browns-10-6 (They were a Jim Sorgi come back away last time, they're getting in)

NFC
1.Washington Redskins-12-4 (My pick for a surprise, with a good offseason they could easily turn out the best record.)
2.Seattle-11-5 (They play in a bowl subdivion-esque conference they'll make it)
3.Cowboys 10-6 (With a coach that offers some discipline they are they best team by far, with out it...)
4.Bears 10-6 (Should turn it around, though I always feel as I'm giving them too much credit)
5.Saints 9-7 (Still a waste of talent but they can pull a season together.)
6. Minnesota 9-7 (Barely gets in on the merits of AP)

I dont think I want the Pats going undefeated; they need to know they are beatable I think. Last night they didnt play with a whole lot of energy...it was really like they were just waiting for it all to click.

Colvin has an option I think for stallworth and his is huge...hence why I see both gone along with Teddy Bruschi. We had 10 million capspace; with those guys will have roughly 16-17 million I think. Asante made 7 this year if we sign him itll be 8-9 a year, brings it down to 13. Moss made 4 million (BEFORE insentives)...I see him getting bout 8, so thats down to 9; though I could see Moss settling for as low as 6 million if insentives put it around 10-11. 9 million in cap space to sign a first round pick and whatever else they want to get.

Btw only way Arizona makes it is if Larry Fitz dont leave and Kurt Warners qb, you get a good running back and defense. Leinarts careers done; if he aint get it doen with LARYR FITZGERALD and ANQUAN BOLDIN....he aint ever.

Asante isn't worth that much. He proved it last night, not just on the missed INT but on the first touchdown when he went for the interception and blew some coverage he's not a the complete shut down corner his numbers may suggest.

His numbers arent as good as last year because they dont throw it to who he covers. I dont care anyway, Brandon Meriweather will be a probowler next year.

He plays with more energy than anybody on the defense and even as a rookie, has become a leader. Hes the first to congradulate, pump up, defend his teammates and is the first to break up fights/Rodney being a bitch. He always seems to be in the right place, even last night, and thats really something given hes a rookie. He may a thug who stomped on players and mauled him with his helmet in the miami brawl and then pumped up his team on the sideline:

^B-Ware right after the fight

and while I am always afraid a 9 or switchblade will come flying out of his pads on one of his hits; man was born to play.
