By an 80 point gap. I think you're safe.

 Re: The NHL 07/08 thread
Weight to the Ducks for Andy McDonald.
Burke obviously did this deal to clear up cap room so Niedermayer could come back. I love it. Anaheim gets older (and worse), and St. Louis gets better. The fact that Burke basically did this deal to bring back a player who's likely only going to play the rest of this season will just further contribute to Anaheim's decline.

 Re: The NHL 07/08 thread
Trix is inching closer and closer to us 3 at the top, really. I remember when he was 150+ points away not too long ago and we were all "nah, he can't catch up" and now he's only 80 points away.
And jmart the other day got 66 points in ONE night of games! I think that is a record for our league.
Peace, Mike

What the, Burke is ridiculous crazy this year. McDonald got 78 points last year and is young, he could potentially be a franchise kind of guy. Weight is old and much much shittier, he has all of 11 points this year. WHAT THE FUCK.

 Re: The NHL 07/08 thread
Went to the game tonight, it was pretty sweet. Went nuts in the shootout. The Oilers are insane there, they have ten wins already, the record is twelve. I think they're gonna beat it. And Lupul, . Two hat tricks in three games. Can't believe it.

Hey, that Gaborik guy had a pretty good night. 5 goals, 1 assist. I wonder who has him in the league.

 Re: The NHL 07/08 thread
Son of a bitch. Once again, I couldn't see the Bruins game because I'm still in Florida (back home tomorrow) so I check to score on my phone and it's 4-0 Pittsburgh. I put the phone away and don't check it again. They lose 5-4 in a shootout? I'll take a point. I didn't expect that at all. And Crosby got into a fight? Oh, and I'm 29 points behind Trix again? [evil] [/evil]

 Re: The NHL 07/08 thread
I think it's pretty much the case that since I predicted the Bruins to pass Ottawa, they've gone cold. Since the 13th (when I made that prediction) they have gone 1-4-1. Only four points seperate the 4th place team with the 13th place team in the conference. If they don't get their act together soon they could very much be screwed.

 Re: The NHL 07/08 thread
Oilers blow another lead. I haven't even watched the last two games, though, I've become pretty apathetic towards the NHL lately. Don't know why, I guess it's in a boring stretch right now.

 Re: The NHL 07/08 thread
Pretty similar to the Bruins at this point. Losing 5-0 to the Thrashers is embarassing. They went from 4th to 10th in a heartbeat. And if they continue like this, they'll end up 13th in the conference. Then again if they can somehow manage to get things together, they can shoot back up to 4th.

Uh......oh. This will most likely be short lived, but look what we have here.
1. Munky Wings 1288.00 2. Shack the Ripper 1141.30 3. Angry Beavers 1114.50 4. jmart007 1006.30 5. trix are for kids 1001.30
4th!!!!
As for the Bruins, I completely forgot that they played yesterday. As a matter of fact, since I've been back from vacation I don't think I've caught one full game. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm sure I'll fall in line again in another week or so. And what do you know, they actually won a game. And with the win they now have 42 points on the year, which puts them in a three-way tie for 7th in the conference. Hopefully this is the sign of an upswing and they can get back to where they were before.

 Re: The NHL 07/08 thread
Bruins win again tonight 2-0 against the Capitals. Nothing very special there since it's the Capitals, but it's their second win in a row and a win is a win. Now if we can just get a little help from Toronto (or not) we can leapfrog up into 5-7 territory. And I just want to point out to all the Canadians that an American has been keeping this thread alive. Just thought you should know.

Well, that's a shame. The fans seemed into it for the first time in years, and the Bruins can't come up with a goal against the Hurricanes.

 Re: The NHL 07/08 thread
With 38 games remaining, Detroit needs only 29 more wins to MATCH their own regular season record for wins.
That means they would need to lose 9 games... They've only lost 11 this year in 44 games.
