 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
They played Atlanta, Indiana, Minnesota, Portland and Philadelphia. All of those teams could face a D-League team and be given a pretty good fight. Starting with Golden State on the 23rd, they have to play four straight Western Conference teams. They won't win one of them. In addition to that their schedule becomes much more difficult in December. They could rebound if their schedule becomes easier, but without him, they're not making the playoffs. Not with a team like Miami getting Wade back. They're going to go on a run.

Well to be fair they also killed all five of those teams, the games weren't close. Not saying the Wiz will be great in the next couple months, but average is achievable, especially if Haywood keeps it up.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
I think the Suns just went into a game with a philosophy of "Alright, we're not even trying on defense tonight. Let's see how many points we can score. It'll be fun." Score was 80-63 at half against Sacremento. The entire Hawks-Heat game ended at 82-79.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
It's 110-82 at the end of the 3rd. Phoenix is probably going to finish with around 140 points. Celtics win again tonight and improve to 9-1. 105-82 was the final against the Warriors. Next game is on Friday night at the Garden for the traditional double-dip at the Garden. Bruins in the afternoon, C's at night. The game is against the Kobe's.

Arenas out for 3 freaking months. Needless to say, I dropped him like a stone from my fantasy league. I can't waste a spot for 3 damn months. Anyway, I'll be picking up Bibby and everything will be right as rain.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Guess this is what it's gonna be like all year. The Cavs will only be able to beat up on the teams that can't contain LeBron. Whenever we run into a somewhat decent defense the supporting cast shows just how mediocre they are.

It looks like this will be the first relevant Celtics/Lakers matchup in quite sometime. It's a shame this game isn't on national television because this is going to be a very good game.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Celtics beat the Lakers 107-94. They're now 10-1.
Pierce had 20 with 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Garnett had 21 with 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Allen had 18 with 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
Player of the game though was Kendrick Perkins. He put up a career high with 21 points and chipped in with 9 rebounds.
The next game is tomorrow night against the Bobcats.
And if I haven't said it already let me say it now. The Magic are a damn good team.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
I still... don't really like Orlando. Dunno, maybe I'm wrong. Seems like Howard in the middle + Lewis and Turk taking shots on the outside is their total gameplan. Guess it's efficient. I don't like the other players on that team at all: Bogans, Nelson, Dooling, Foyle, Cook... yuck. I guess Dwight being so goddam good is really an effective way to win though.

This was why the previous coach Brian Hill sucked so much by not making Dwight the focal point of the offense and adjusting the weak supporting cast to Dwight's strength. But while Van Gundy's predictable offense is relably successful against most of te one-dimensional coaches in the league, he needs to make adjustments to have a chance against the better-coached teams in the league.

Full Mooon in Chicago
Though really, ugly win again. The team is pretty much 22 year old white guys bricking Js from the outside. Bosh Calderon Moon know what to do, everyone else... yech. Things aren't as orchastrated as last year. Think Ford and Rasho will help a lot though.

Cavs were down by 5 at the half. LeBron got hurt. Now we're down by 33.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Tonight was the textbook definition of a team giving up in themselves and on their coach. When they got down by 20 early on they just absolutely folded it in. That's just pathetic on both the coaches and on the players part. I heard Barkley say tonight that because the Knicks have a game tomorrow they can't fire Isiah. As a Celtics fan I hope they keep him as long as possible, but really, the Knicks need to fire him tonight.
And just incase you need more proof on why they should fire him.
Garnett: 22 minutes Pierce: 29 minutes Allen: 29 minutes
And they still lost by 45.

They should fire him, get rid of around 10 players and sell the team. Motherfuckers.
And that against fucking Boston. Yikes.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Marbury's father died last night. Was at game, felt chest pain during it, and went to hospital where he died. Stephon allegedly made ruckus in locker room after hearing that. He has a very very lousy time last month or so. Old coach, aunt, now father?

No Bosh, no Bargnani, probably no Ford but if he does play he'll be hobbled like the last couple games. Fantastic. Hopefully Kapono and Delfino drop like 30 each for my fantasy team. We might play Phoenix and Boston with this lineup.

Kevin Martin's injured 4-6 weeks, could be significant if the Kings do horrible and decide to push the Artest and Bibby trade talk, and head for the ping pong balls from there.

Celtics beat the 76ers tonight 113-103. They go to 15-2 on the year. The next game is against the Raptors at home on Friday night.
Hey and how about the Knicks. They're 2-1 since leaving Boston. They're on a roll.

Amazing how Washington is better without Gilbert Arenas.
Cavs without LeBron should play the Lakers without Kobe. Maybe that will shut Kobe up, and focus the nations pity on LeBron.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Only because he wasn't healthy and was overall garbage when he did play this year. 39% and 5 TOs a game is something you do better without. And the Wiz have been a bit lucky, playing Cavs without Bron, Raptors without Bosh and Ford. Losing to Memphis and Philly is still a bit glaring.
