Nice game. I think he had over 40 carrie. Wow. I do think that that goal line touchdown should have been reviewed though because I really thought he was down with the ball at the 1 or 2 yrd line and stretched the ball over afterward. Plus, the tv showed only one replay and I'm so tired of hearing Griese. Have him do non-michigan games plz.

No. Michigan's defense showed their true colors when they gave up 73 points and 1,011 total yards in two games against teams whose play book isn't comprised exclusively of the Big Ten Special - run left, run right, run up the middle, punt.

When you play 2-3 games a year that run that type of offense, there is little to no need to adjust your defense specifically for those few games.

It's the coaching staffs responsibility to ensure your team stays relevant by recognizing and adjusting to the game. Just because the majority of the Big Ten is still stuck in the stone age, doesn't mean Michigan has to be as well. Imagine how well Michigan would do both outside and inside conference play if they could pull their gigantic recruiting base in and give them a decent system to work with. Why, they might look something like Ohio State the last couple of years.

Like I've said earlier, enjoy your run through 14-9 Big Ten tractor pulls. You'll be the one cursing Lloyd Carr and his antiquated play book when the third or fourth best PAC-10 team is putting up 50 points on you in the Rose Bowl.
