Scary Movie 3
Scary Movie 3Quote: Scary Movie 3 is a 2003 American science fiction comedy film, which parodies the horror, sci-fi, and mystery genres, directed by David Zucker. It is the third film of the Scary Movie franchise, as well as the first to have no involvement from the Wayans family. This is most evident as the film's content is less vulgar than the previous films, and the characters of Shorty Meeks and Ray Wilkins do not appear, nor are they referenced. The film's plot significantly parodies the films The Ring, Signs, and 8 Mile. It is also the first film in the series to star Leslie Nielsen. I was a bit worried about the PG-13 rating beforehand, but it turned out to be just as hilarious as the other parts of the series. It's not as great as the original, but definitely better than the second and still great. B+

I saw it for a second time. Surprisingly not as bad as I originally thought. There were a lot of funny moments, and it lacked that gross humor that made Scary Movie 2 suck. I'll see a fourth, if there is one.

I thought that was the funniest scene in the movie. Dangling Michael outside the window, and screaming "How do you like it?!".

This one had lots of genuine laughs, but still, most of it is annyoing and the film has no repeat value. I would give it a C-

Not as good as the first two. This is definetely a movie that Anna Faris is the ONLY great thing about it.

It was pretty good. I remember the crowd I was with when I first saw it with was extremely energetic, and they just loved it. Some moments are hysterical, others were lame, and some were downright awful, but for the most part I was entertained. It would've been much better with an R rating.

Not nearly as abysmal as the second movie, yet it lacks a lot that made the first movie good. Now gross humor is certainly not enough (as the second movie has shown), but the almost utter absence of it in this movie hurt it in my opinion, considering this is the Scary Movie series! In fact, I think the PG-13 rating was what hurt it the most. Also, I just never liked Leslie Nielsen and I found him in this one horribly unfunny as well. The vast majority of the good jokes (and there really were some in this one) were unfortunately spoiled in the trailers and TV spots, a fact that has ruined many comedies to me already (see Bruce Almighty!). The Michael Jackson scene could have been very funny if I hadn't seen it for ten times before the movie in the trailers. The entire Signs spoof didn't quite work for me and neither did the Matrix Reloaded one or the 8 Mile one. It were the smaller ones that made me chuckle from time to time.
I wish they would stop after this one. The series becomes one of the most mediocre high-grossing film series I have ever seen. The first movie was great comedy material, but the other two were rather sub-par.

Scary Movie 2 is one of the worst movies Hollywood has churned out in recent years. This was worse than that. I'm not sure how that's possible, but there you go.
At least Scary Movie 2 had David Cross in it.

I am embarrassed to admit that I laughed-out-loud whenever I see the size of Camryn Manheim's hat get larger.

This movie has the funniest trailer ever created. It was so perfectly edited and so perfectly showed all the jokes from the movie.

This is where the Scary Movie series started to become just good for me. There is funny material, like George's rap, or The Ring tape, but Zucker is all puns and gags in this one, which is terribly annoying. Similar to the 4th movie, he doesn't construct a plot, he doesn't create a real movie, he just loosely ties together 90 minutes worth of gags and skits. The characters in his movies aren't characters at all, they're props for the gags, you might as well not give them names. Zucker doesn't make up his own material, he just directly puts his actors in the original movies' setting, and plays out the situations in a dumber pun worthy way. It's lazy comedy at it's finest, and it bugs me. Say what you want about the Wayans, but at least their movies have actual storylines and characters in it, and at least they write some original comedy to go with the spoofs.

Charlie Sheen really saved this movie. At least he is a pro at spoofing and knows how to react. Anything he did was great in my opinion. Was funny in his small cameo in the 4th too.
"Im dying Tom"
"Dont say that, the truck barely hit you"
He starts crying
"The banks gonna foreclose if I dont come up with a $1.50 by the end of the month.
The 8 mile spoof sucked, though Anthony Anderson had a few chuckles
Leslie Neilson wasnt that funny, hes just getting too slow
The main problems, started with the 2nd is that main plot points arent spoofs of scary movies anymore

This is actually my favorite one of the series. Okay, maybe I am saying that cause I am a Zucker fan, but I think the Zucker elements actually fit in this type of movie.

Re: Scary Movie 3
Probably my favourite of the franchise, simply because it's the funniest.
