 Re: The Voices
This was actually pretty great. In tone it reminded me much of the film May, though this one is much more darkly funny. Ryan Reynolds is fantastic here, as is the supporting cast he's surrounded by. It's incredibly dark but also quite hysterical. I could see my grade going up on a second viewing. Really awesome flick. Check it out!

Great film, Ryan Reynolds is so much better in it than he has ever been.

 Re: The Voices
This movie was hilariously twisted, and I have to agree that Reynolds was amazing in it. A-

 Re: The Voices
An interesting and, in an unusual way, very entertaining film, navigating enormous tonal shifts (from the absurdly macabre to the directly tragic) with surprising fluidity and flair. Ryan Reynolds delivers his most dynamic performance to date, and Gemma Arterton and Anna Kendrick are bright presences in peripheral roles.
I wish they cut the song-and-dance at the end, though. Lands with a bit of a thud and detracts from the power of the ending proper.

 Re: The Voices
Yeah, I hated the song and dance during the credits.
The movie was pretty solid though. Everyone was great in it.

 Re: The Voices
Mike not creaming his pants over this is kind of shocking to me.
More people need to see this fucking movie.

 Re: The Voices
So I decided to give this a shot even though I'm not really a fan of dark comedies or serial killer-type movies (Se7en being the exception). First of all, even though it will not happen, Reynolds deserves an Oscar nod for this performance. It's superb. That performance alone makes the movie worth watching. The support is also quite good.
