 Frozen (2013)
Frozen Quote: Frozen is a upcoming 2013 american computer animated musical fantasy-comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Loosely inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale The Snow Queen, it is the 53rd animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series. Featuring the voices of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gad, the film tells the story of a fearless, yet optimistic princess who sets off on an epic journey alongside a rugged mountain man, his loyal reindeer, and a hapless snowman to find her sister, the Snow Queen, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom in eternal winter.
Frozen underwent several story treatments for several years, before being commissioned in 2011, with a screenplay written by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck and Lee serving as co-directors. The film premiered at the El Capitan Theatre on November 19, 2013, and will go into general theatrical release on November 27.

 Re: Frozen
Can't believe it took this long for Kristen Bell to do an animated film, Astro Boy aside.

 Re: Frozen
I hope this does really well, then it uses any goodwill with Kristin Bell to help the Veronica Mars movie.
It's a stretch but it could happen!

 Re: Frozen
This looks great, though I won't lie the reason I really want to see it theatrically when I usually don't see animated movies on the big screen is because of Kristen Bell. She seems a perfect fit with an animated musical. Her voice work seems great here.

I liked this one more than Tangled, very impressive, a little to much singin in the first half.

 Re: Frozen
Freaking fantastic. I'm so glad the trailers were vague as the story was allowed to have feel brand new and the surprises felt genuine. The songs were surprisingly great and had a real Beauty and the Beast vibe. I think the only thing that kinda felt flat to me were the trolls, which just seemed to be screaming too hard to be cute exposition-tellers.
A
There is quite an amazing and tragic shot towards the beginning about the sea that blew me away. Epic yet subtle.
The beginning Disney short is also pretty neat.

 Re: Frozen
Not only the best animated movie in ages, but it's better than pretty much any recent Pixar offering. Usually with animated movies I get bored at times but not with this one. It was really funny with great music and wonderful animation. Excellent voice work from Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel. Reminiscent of classic Disney films.

 Re: Frozen
I liked Tangled more but this was pretty good. I thought the beginning with the backstory was really well done. Thought the character of the ice seller dude was pretty weak but the relationship between the sisters is what helps the movie. idk didn't feel like a Disney classic to me but it's enjoyable.

 Re: Frozen
Mark my words - - Frozen will one day make a great Broadway show and future non-animated film!
However, today we are stuck with the viewing and reviewing the original animated version which will henceforth be know by it's full title:
Frozen Land Of The Demon Marionettes
This movie is absolutely terrifying!
2 out of 5.
(BTW, Get A Horse!, the short before the feature, is a masterful and joyous time-torquing tribute to the history of Disney animation. Brilliant. 539 out of 5.)
((Also, there's a short and rather dull after credits scene for those who enjoy such things. 1 out of 5.))

 Re: Frozen
This was so delightful. It really does recall the spirit of the 90s Disney golden age, and it continues Disney's winning streak after Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph. Beautiful animation, tons of heart, great songs (omg "Let It Go" and "For the First Time in Forever") AND it's funny. Happy this is doing so well. A-

Whenever I see Bradley's name as the last post on an Everyone's A Critic review thread, I always have a little wager in my head on which way he will go, and I betted in a split-second that he would love this.

 Re: Frozen
I didn't have huge expectations for this but I definitely was anticipating it after the great reviews started coming out. It blew every expectation I had for it out of the water. Frozen was just pure magic from beginning to end and is definitely reminiscent of the all time great Disney movies. Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff all do great voice work here. I do kind of agree that Idina sounded too old to be voicing a teenager, but it didn't really hinder my enjoyment of it at all. Let It Go will go down as one of the all time great Disney songs. Actually, every song here was great. I've listened to the soundtrack at least six times since seeing the movie on Wednesday. Just a beautiful, wonderful film and I couldn't recommend it more. One of my favorites of the year for sure.

1. Frozen 2. Winnie the Pooh 3. Bolt 4. Tangled 5. Princess and the Frog 6. Wreck it Ralph 7. Meet the Robinsons
The first two are the only ones I would say were great. The rest were just decent.
