 Re: No One Lives
OH. MY. GOD.
Seriously. This is honestly one of the most unintentionally hysterical films I have ever seen. It is seriously right up there with The Room. My friend and I (as well as the other four people in the theater) were howling with laughter from start to finish. It has everything you would want in an unintentionally funny movie, a terrible script, even worse line deliveries, complete WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?! moments. This was a seriously special film. It really takes something special to be THIS bad, seriously. But don't let me make you not be interested in the film because you totally should because it was so fucking entertaining and hysterical.
Grab a bunch of friends and see it ASAP. My rating is a 3/10 but I almost don't want to give it a rating because of how fucking hysterical it was.

 Re: No One Lives
But was Luke Evans good or I guess the whole thing sucks?

No One Lives
Not really a horror movie, more of a thriller with gore. It was an ok movie, with a neat little twist on the horror genre, and the music was the best part with its 80s feel to it, but I still don't understand Luke Evans' motives for taking a woman and testing her - what's his deal? and the rest of the movie was pretty much trash.
I liked how the thieves got their comeuppance, and the end scene from where he pretends to be a doctor all the way to the end of the credits was great - good visuals and good music, kind of a shame that the rest of the movie wasn't this precisely and elegantly produced.
It's a pretty low-budget movie, and that shows. I mainly applaud it for delivering something new that I hadn't seen before. All of the rest was standard WWE fare.

 Re: No One Lives
A concept which may have sounded clever on paper (a group of cut-rate and vicious criminals menace a couple traveling on the road only to realize the driver is far more dangerous than any among them) results in a mediocre and often boring suspense film, one which tries to disguise its shortcomings with over-the-top gore. Said concept results in a film which pits idiotic and unpleasant characters against a smarter, but just as unpleasant solo antagonist, one operating with brutal calculation worthy of the Terminator, and there is no one in whom to invest. The brief and teasing references to events which transpired before the storyline proper begins are far more tantalizing, as if this is the tepid follow-up to a more worthy story of abduction and insanity.
