This film just might have the worst twist ending of all time.

B+ Lets just say this went out with a bang. Fans loved the hell out of it and really went crazy over the twist at the end. Great night at the theater. Thanks Mr.Condon.

I've been a fan of the series ( ) and I liked this one but something felt really off about this one in the first half... Not sure. The battle scene was fun though, especially since knowing what happens in the books a lot of people in the theater were going crazy.

Yes, the beginning was very slow and talky after you get past Bella's new experiences as a vampire. It shouldn't have been split up anyway. When Carlyle got his head lopped off the audience just gasped and shrieked and even I had my mouth open. I was thinking, I'm pretty sure that didn't happen but it's been maybe a year since I read it. Then as other things happened I thought, they are just going all out until you know what. I thought it was great and it got resounding applause afterward.

Does the whole Jacob impriting Renesmee situation get any less creepier than the way my wife explained it from the books? (essentially he is her protector, and later on when she is older he can be more?)

Well, once she's an adult what would it matter? Besides, he'll grow old and die off anyway long before she does.

I always thought it ending a bit anti climactically after reading the book but for what they put on the screen I think it worked out. Plus the ending credits was a nice touch.

Re: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2
This was probably my favorite movie of the series. I would have liked a little more time with the additional gifted vampires, but otherwise I think it was a good adaptation. The book seemed anti-climatic for me, and what was done improved it for me. I saw the twist coming way before the rest of the audience did. I LOVED the credits.

Re: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2
A near perfect end to the distinct and profitable Twilight film franchise. Regard it as the target audience does, and it reveals itself to be an absurd and glorious entertainment. The film's first movement, focused on our heroine's first few days as a vampire, has a vivid sense of motion and romantic adventure as she races at a lightning pace through the dense forest, its colors and sounds enhanced and sensational. With the visual elegance of a fashion advertisement and a strong ensemble cast, including talents such as Lee Pace and Michael Sheen at their most playful and over-the-top, the film teases and pleases and flies by (it truly feels 45 minutes long), concluding with the genuine, brutal excitement of what is by far this film series' most elaborate action sequence. It is a Twilight movie through and through--the angst, the chiseled werewolf physique, the gothic melodrama--and will therefore garner the predictable mixture of adoration, amusement, ambivalence, and hatred. I had a blast.

Re: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2
Yeah, this was pretty bad and by far the worst of the series. It was by far the most uneventful and boring one of the bunch, though that was to be expected. There was no reason they had to split this book into two films (this one actually was only about 100 minutes without end credits and boy did it feel a ton longer). There just wasn't enough material and it really shows, especially in this chapter. For the first 70 minutes nothing happens. Nothing. It just drags and drags and drags. Then the big battle comes and it's fun and it's pretty damn entertaining. Then the end montage was really nice too, so it had a nice ending. But everything before the last 25 minutes was just boring and annoying. I did like Jacob's strip scene though, that was pretty funny. As for the ending, yeah the battle sequence was pretty cool but how stupid is the creative team of this movie? Alice can't see werewolves in her vision. It's not something that was just in the books, it was stated in New Moon as well. HUGE fucking plot hole and it only annoys me even more. Not the the book's ending would have been better, but they could have figured something out because any fan of the series would go "....uhh...." and they definitely did at my showing. 5/10

It's just as dull as the others -- that these films have never once attempted to build forward momentum is stunning -- but the 'fight' is fun.

Some of the dialogue is more ridiculous than usual for the franchise but it still has some entertaining parts particularly the battle.

I still can't get over how unbelievably awful some of the CGI was in this, even compared to the other films. Certain moments reminded me of the TV show Ringer.
