Freaky Friday (2003)
Freaky FridayQuote: Freaky Friday (also known as Fortune Cookie in Japan) is a 2003 film based on the novel of the same name by Mary Rodgers. It stars Lindsay Lohan as Anna Coleman and Jamie Lee Curtis as her mother. In the film their bodies are switched due to an enchanted Chinese fortune cookie. It also stars actors Mark Harmon and Chad Michael Murray.
This is the third time this film has been made by Disney, and the second in ten years. The original film was made in 1976 and starred Barbara Harris as the mother and Jodie Foster as the daughter. A 1995 television remake was produced for ABC. A funny, entertaining Disney flick. This put Lindsay Lohan on the map. B-

I really liked FREAKY FRIDAY, when I saw it in theaters, I thought it was just okay, but when I bought it on DVD, I fell in love with it. Curtis shines, as does Lohan (who I normally don't like). It's a real hilarious crowd pleaser, a must see for any family, or a kid at heart.
9/10 (A-)

It's an entertaining film, especially for a Disney flick. Lindsay Lohan shines here, as does Jamie Lee Curtis. The supporting characters are also very good. I thought it was funny light hearted family film, and its a film you can have fun with. I liked it much more than the original, and I thought the story worked well, and the chemistry between Curtis and Lohan was convincing, and well done.

1. Lindsay Lohan
2. Stupid story
3. Stupid cliched ending
4. Cliche filled.
5. Stupid remake.

A Great Lindsay Lohan movie. Second favorite of hers behind Mean Girls. Much better than Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and a grade above The Parent Trap.

This was so much better than I expected it to be. Jamie Lee Curtis is a great comedienne. Despite her media oversaturation, Lohan actually is a pretty decent actress. Sure it's predictable family fare, but is there anything wrong with that? I rate it an A-.

I thought Freaky Friday was a cute movie. Nothing great, but not a waste of time. I would rank it about the same as the original, which I saw when I was just a kid. Neither Lindsay Lohan nor Jamie Lee Curtis play guitar for real, incase anybody was wondering. I did find Curtis' speech at the end to be very touching.

Ouch, down to a B!
Heh, no, I'm actually really happy you've enjoyed all these movies.
I'd recommend The Notebook and Romy & Michele's High School Reunion next.

It's all been very enjoyable! Thanks for all of the great recommendations. I actually liked Freaky Friday more than I was expecting to. I viewed it as a movie that was totally unecessary for so long (since it came out, actually), and found it to be a lot of fun. It wasn't in the league of Mean Girls, though. That's actually become a favorite of mine. :-$
I will see about renting those two tonight.

I agree. It's highly rewatchable. I think I've seen it about 15-20 times so far, and it never gets old.

I remember this movie coming out. People were moaning about how bad it was going to be and bla... bla... bla...
It was a nice surprise. Haven't seen it since released, but I do remember enjoying it.

Re: Freaky Friday (2003)
I randomly watched this last night (can't believe this was 14 years ago yeesh), still really enjoyable! Really great performances from the leads. It's really a shame that Lohan fell off, she was so good here.

I remember I enjoyed it and found it better than the 1976 version. I gave it 70/100 (B).
