final destination 3d
I loved the 3d effect in conjuction with this movie. It's just like all the previous ones and I really enjoyed it, but the 3D technology was really fun here. It really enhanced the experience for me and I kind of want to see it again just with a bigger audience next time to get more audience reaction.

Re: The Final Destination
So is this REALLY the Final Destination as the ads put it?? Another words, they say this is the last one, yet, how do you beat death in an effort to keep this from pretty much being remade like everything else?? Was there actually closure for this series or did they leave it open??

Freaking terrible. This just sucks.
They did use 3D effects well during the race car crash tho.

The girl in the carwash escapes death...temporarily

Cameron is using that to make movie more immersive than stuff popping at you. Even Journey to centre earth 3d used the Avatar camera.

Fun, decent entertainment, but probably the weakest of the series (one that I love, btw).
3D made it really enjoyable.

The Final Destination - 6/10 (B-)
I thought it was "pretty good," but the weakest of the series. The 3D was neat and really pops out at you, but to me it felt kind of rushed and was too short. I guess I'm just getting bored with the same old thing. The main accident was decent enough, but it's the worst of the set-ups in the series. It happens way too fast. Sure, I was excited for the accident to start, but part of the fun is the anticipation. It happened too soon and was over too fast. Plus, it just wasn't very creative. I also wasn't overly excited by the death scenes in this one. Maybe because we've already seen some version of a lot of them in the previous installments. The ending was really rushed and kind of a letdown. I was surprised by the weak finale. In fact, it feels so unlike a finale that I wouldn't have even guessed I was watching the finale. But then a couple of minutes later and it's over.
Still, it's not bad at all, but nowhere near as cool as the others (especially the second, which easily had the best accident scene of any of them). I wish they'd have tried to be a bit more original, at least with the death scenes. I guess they are running out of ideas. Even the ending is practically directly copied from a previous film (I won't say which so I don't spoil it for anyone), though to less success. It just didn't have the atmosphere and was poorly executed.
Anyway, I'd say it's worth seeing in 3D if you get the chance. Now that I've seen it once in theaters I don't know if I'll bother again on DVD. It's like My Bloody Valentine. Without the 3D there's not much to see. Both movies are only good for one viewing, whether it's in 3D or not. They'd be boring to watch again.
I'd be game for another "Final Destination" though if they change it up and put more effort into it.
On a sidenote, the lead guy was hot and the girl who played his girlfriend was a cutie. She reminded me of a cross between Alexis Bledel and Evan Rachel Wood, with a little Sara Paxton thrown in.

Re: The Final Destination
It was good fun. The acting was disgraceful. There was no characterisation. At all. But it's final destination, so the acting, script etc don't matter even a tiny bit! Some of the deaths were terrific. The car wash scene ramped up the dread for me. The escalator, hairdresser and cinema scenes were cool. And the opening accident was fantastic. Even the opening credits were amazing if your a fan of the series!
The ending is crap though. And a bit of a cop-out. We want to see it happening, we don't want to see x-ray versions of people?! wtf??
It was great fun, the 3-D was cool, better than FD 1 & 2 but not 3.

4/5 I thought Shantal VanSanten did a decent job considering what the script had to offer. Really only the bad performance was from the obnoxious guy friend.

Re: The Final Destination
I heard the ending of this movie.
I would definitely prefer seeing the Jonas Brother's Concert in 3D.
