I went in with low expectations, having half slept thru the last two Spy Kids films, but walked out a believer!

Shorts is all kinds o' great. It uses visual FX directly as a story element in the most creatively wonky manner. The entire telling of the tale in the "Shorts" format is itself impeccably apt.

The acting is lead by the latest young actress superstar to be introduced - - none other than Helvetica Black herself - - Jolie Vanier. Watch for that name everywhere in 2015.

And the supporting cast is awesome with William H. Macy, Kat Dennings, James Spader, Leslie Mann, and a whole gaggle of authentically nerdy looking, very talented comic kid actors.

This is another high point in the career of Robert Rodriguez (I can't wait to see next year's Machete(!)), it is heaps of fun...
