Quote:
50 First Dates is a 2004 American romantic comedy film directed by Peter Segal and written by George Wing. It stars Adam Sandler as a woman-chasing veterinarian and Drew Barrymore as an amnesiac, along with Rob Schneider, Sean Astin, Lusia Strus, Blake Clark, and Dan Aykroyd.

Most of the film was shot on location in Oahu, Hawaii on the Windward side & the North Shore. Sandler and Barrymore won an MTV award for their warm on-screen chemistry. This is the second of their two films to date as costars, the first being The Wedding Singer.

The fictitious memory impairment suffered by Barrymore's character is similar to Alzheimer's disease and Anterograde amnesia.

Funny, and a good romantic comedy, but as an Adam Sandler movie, it's a bit of a dissapointment.

Funny movie t hat has several flaws in the storyline...

If Drew Barrymore falls asleep and forgets everything, can't they just give her tons of Mountain Dew so she'll stay up and not forget anything? ;)

I guess I just don't understand what is so good about this movie. I think it's really overrated. Drew Barrymore is the best thing about it, she's just adorable. It's pretty much for passable fluff.

5/10 (C-)

I'm not a huge fan of Sandler. In fact, I hate Big Dady and think that The Waterboy is just passable. Tjis one, however, surprised me a lot. I found it one of the better romcoms released nowadays. Also it was surprisingly funny. I found myself laughing out loud a couple of times, more than at most other Sandler movies. Sandler and Barrymore both pull off decent performances. The whole story angle is interesting and touching in a way. Definitely one of Sandler's best. Just wish they didn't have Rob Schneider in it.

I think it worked well as a romantic comedy. There were a few inappropiate things in it, but I could ignore that. The whole movie was pretty funny.

Neither funny nor romantic, and it has an ending that doesn't make a lick of psycological sense. She's gonna wake up every morning for the rest of her life and discover anew that she'll never remember a thing about her life (through a fucking VIDEOTAPE?)? Nobody could live like that. She'd go crazy and take that obnoxious husband and baby with her.

I find this movie irresistibly cute. Sandler and Barrymore must have really good chemistry, because I really enjoyed this and The Wedding Singer. B+

Awsome film, One of best rom coms I've seen. It was my favorite Sandler film till I saw Happy Gilmore about 6 months ago.
