 Poltergeist III
Poltergeist III Quote: Poltergeist III (otherwise known as Poltergeist 3 or Poltergeist 3: We're Back) is a 1988 American horror film. It is the third and final film of the Poltergeist film series. Writers Michael Grais and Mark Victor, who wrote the screenplay for the first two films, did not return for this second sequel; it was co-written, executive produced and directed by Gary Sherman, and was released on June 10, 1988 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures. The film was panned by critics, and was a box office disappointment.
Heather O'Rourke and Zelda Rubinstein were the only original cast members to return. O'Rourke died four months before the film was released and before post-production could be completed. It was dedicated to her memory.

Ugh. D- or something. At least, it probably holds the record for the most mentions of the name "Carol Anne". That's a plus.. or maybe not.

I liked this movie on HBO when I saw it, but I was like 8. I never watched it older because I'm afraid it's probably as bad as everyone says.

Interesting story, as most know the the traumas of the poltergeist films.
To name one for each film:
Within months of the firsts release, the older sister is murdered by her boyfriend.
Within a few weeks of filming his role in the 2nd, the preist guy died.
During filming of the third, the girl that played Carol Anne Died.
Making a film with an ending, as they were suppose to have a different one, but do to the death what they were left with makes no sense, as do other reshoots that werent done. They did a decent job covering it.

Overall a dissappointing end to a troubled franchise.

^^ don't forget the guy who played Taylor (Will Sampson) in part II died of complications from surgery a year after the movie came out.
As for part III. It's not as bad as people say it is, but it ain't that good either. It's watchable but nowhere close to the first two films
