This and Billy Madison are hands down Sandler's funniest film, not his best or my favorite, but I never laughed as hard during another of his films.

Used to be just about my favorite movie as a kid, but seeing it again grown up, I realize that the whole thing is REALLY unrealistic and surreal. Not the shots which obviously are supposed to be, but Sandler's actions too.
Still love it though.

Re: Happy Gilmore I probably would have appreciated this a lot more in the pre-Apatow days. Humor like this simply doesn't pass for "crude and funny" like it used to. Now it's just "crude and hopefully funny because everyone acts mentally impaired"
