I'm a fan. Fast, entertaining thriller.

Silly, but ultimately quite fun.

Edit: I just realized I was thinking of the Mel Gibson movie Payback. Which my above description relates to.

Paycheck...not so much. Um, D+, maybe?

Paycheck, B+, one of the best constructed thrillers of the 00's. Not a great movie, not a deep movie, but a clever entertainment that delivers what it promises to. It got swept away in the Ben Affleck backlash, and not judged on its own merits.

I agree with Archie that this got caught in the anti affleck thing which is a pity cause this was an enjoyable movie if a bit proposterous in parts

A fairly intriguing concept, and an interesting beginning, are ultimately ruined by mindless action scenes and horrible dialogue. The plot goes awry about halfway through this, so all that's left is action, which is admittedly good, yet serves no purpose. And the acting is bad. Bad, bad, bad. Affleck actually looks decent in this compared to the one-dimensionalness of Eckhart and the woodenness of Thurman. And Giamatti is wasted. Altogether an entertaining, stupid film.
