 Connery retiring :(
Sir Sean Connery is expected to officially announce he is quitting Hollywood when he collects his Lifetime Achievement Award at the American Film Institute later this year. Connery, who is recuperating after undergoing surgery to remove a Kidney tumor in January, plans to spend his time writing books instead. He says, "I have retired for good. It's been a bit rough since Christmas but I'm perfectly OK and I feel well. In fact, I'm working on a history book." Harrison Ford, meanwhile, is campaigning for the actor to return to The screen for the upcoming fourth Indiana Jones movie.

Well, it has been known for a while, but still sad news. I just don't want him to finish off his career with League of Extraordinary Gentlemen...he should star in one more Indy.

Harrison just wants someone older than him in Indy 4. Watch him try to get Eastwood now.
I bet Connery still does little things, like voices in animated films. I can't imagine that'd be too stressful.

Sean Connery actually may look younger than Harrison Ford right now.

Ditto. I understand the retirement but does he really want that steaming pile to be his last film credit? Even a 5 minute cameo in some random indie film would suffice.

Well, there is a good chance he wasn't in it. I mean you know Ford, Speilberg, and Lucas are great friends. I'm sure they have discussed it with Connery, I'm sure there will be either some announcement that it is his last film, or that he asked to be written out a while ago, and they were keeping it secret.

I'm thoroughly convinced that Sean Connery was conned into being in that Godawful piece of shi* known as League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and didn't see the script before it was too late and he was already committed to it.. How bout put him in 1 last BOND movie as, well, the Villain to mirror his career as BOND??? Now that would be a way to go out..
