I think that's obviously a typo. I mean, "No Passes" so it's gotta be a new release. Like, I don't know, Phat Girlz?
I never heard of that AMC location before, did that use to be a Loews or General Cinema?

Neither, it's only been open about 4 years, opened as an AMC.
No typo though, cause it is printed in the local paper times as well...

That Bloodrayne thing is both odd and sad at the same time.
Okay, makes sense that it opened a couple of years ago. The only one I knew of was AMC Interchange.

No he is not.
AMC bought General Cinema in 2002. And the merge with Loews Cineplex (which also owns Cineplex Odean and Magic Johnson chains) earlier this year.

Somewhere in the Middle East... BloodRayne opened at #1. That's both an insult and a compliment.

What kind of movies does a chain called "Magic Johnson" carry?

It plays regular movies, but it give special treatment to movies with African Americans, meaning that it gives a lot of prints than usual theater.
Example. One 15 plex in Baldwin Hills (the one where Chris Rock shot the segment for the Oscars he host) played Diary of a Mad Black Women on 4 screens, King's Ranson on 3 screens, Hustle and Flow on 4 screens, get the picture?
