Quote:
Bad Santa is a 2003 American screwball dark comedy film directed and co-written by Terry Zwigoff, produced by the Coen brothers, and starring Billy Bob Thornton as the title character and Tony Cox as his partner in crime. Actors Bernie Mac and John Ritter (in his final live-action film) co-star. Lauren Graham, Lauren Tom, Ethan Phillips, Brett Kelly, and Cloris Leachman are also featured.

The unrated version of the film was released on DVD on March 5, 2004 and on high-definition Blu-ray Disc (November 20, 2007) as Badder Santa. A director's cut DVD was released in November 2006. It features Zwigoff's cut of the film (including an audio commentary with him and the film's editor), but is three minutes shorter than the theatrical cut and ten minutes shorter than the unrated version. The film was screened out of competition at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival.

Sick, Twisted, Demented, but very very funny. It does not go the same route of having a cute kid, instead, the kid is even more twisted than he is. Great Acting from Thorton, and a very witty script.

Some very fun stuff in the movie. One time i had tears in my eyes. I really liked the dirty style. Unfortunately the second half was still funny but not so funny like the beginning. But the movie rocked. This movie can really become a classic.
I give 8/10.

I actually really liked this movie. It walked the line of dark humour, but still had heart, and managed to have the situation escalate at every moment without becoming irritating or obvious as "things going from wrong to worse" movies usually do. I found all the actors really cute, and they were clearly having a great time doing this movie, even the ones that played "miserable" characters. At the time, the premesis was also fresh, and the dialogue was smart but not trying too hard.

A solid B+

Gut-busting. Zwigoff understands that the only real to way to attack the sacred institution of Christmas is not to make a lame and obvious "The meaning of Christmas is lost is a haze of materialism" satire (as a lesser filmmaker would do) but to literally just take a huge, steaming shit on the entire enterprise.

Time shall be very kind to BAD SANTA.

F'n A+!

Bad Santa is the best Christmas movie in round about 50 years (depending on whether you count 52 from A Christmas Carol or 49 from White Christmas). It is awesomely funny in the most perversely heartwarming way. The cast is outstanding (from Billy Thornton to John Ritter to Brett Kelly) and the script is note-perfect black comedy.

This is simply a modern masterpiece of comedy movie-making.

6 out of 5.

Hilarious. Parts in the movie had me crying such as when the boy and Billy Bob are coming home and the boy is like "someone dropped me on my head ?"..."No on someone elses FUCKING head! Of course your head!Fuck! Whats with you and all these damn questions!"..Love it..A

Hilarious, Thornton's performance makes the movie, but the screenplay is excellent as well.

So its a long time since I saw it last time...so I had to give a chance to the extended cut. Well I actually didnt remember how friggin funny it is and I higher my grade cause I was so surprised how the jokes still work even you know them already. One of the best comedies ever and it also has heart....much heart.

10/10

Bad Santa

Well, I wasn't enamoured by it. It was ok, I guess. As black comedies go, it's not a good one, and it's strange because it's so fucking easy to make great films in this genre. Sheriff John Bunnell makes an appearance, and that is truly awesome.
