Read the first sentence. I know I am.

(For the record, the seltzer water is the cheap, store-brand stuff. Giant is the big supermarket chain here. And, go GDub!)

I've had like two ex-girlfriends that swore by that stuff. Therefore, it's permanently etched in my mind as something bad. Looks like things aren't going to work out between the two of us.

Anywho, I feel quilt for not including some of my own whoreish sensibilities.

I've worn Converse shoes since I was like ten.
I buy most of my jeans from Gap.
Amy's makes the best canned/frozen food ever. Their No Chicken Noodle Soup is a miracle.
Dr. Pepper rulez.

Man Coke and Pepsi sure do know how to program people don't they?
People who drink coke usually remain massively "loyal" to the product, will actually defend it and abuse the leading rival.
ditto with Pepsi

That makes me uncomfortable, that through marketing alone theres a rivalry between people.

As for labels/products. I swear by nothing. I am entirely addicted to Pepsi Max [which i will have to end this week for my operation, hopefully ending it for good], but i dont like the idea of being "loyal" to a company making profit off of me. Proactiv works kind of well, i started a few weeks ago and my skin is smoother and clearer, but not exactly vastly better. Ill keep at it

I try not to eat Nestle and McDonalds products becuase they did some hugely unethical things in Africa. Hugely unethical. I categorically refuse to wear anything from Tommy Hilfiger.

makeshift, my mom buys the Amy burritos (they aren't vegan, though. they have cheese). I like 'em. On another note, I went to the local grocery near the gym to pick up some food, and bought "vegan" Fettucini. What could be different about vegan Fettucini and regular Fettucini?

Michelangelo, there are some places I refuse to shop because of their political...alliance (and some places I will shop because they're on my side). I won't shop at Urban Outfitters because the owner's some nasty, radical right-winger. I started shopping at J. Crew because all of their political donations go to the Dems. Target and Amazon are the only exceptions (both are towards the right). BTW, I don't defend Coke and "abuse" Pepsi. I just think Coke tastes better. :P

When we're done with this topic (which has somehow become "what clothing and soft-drink brands do you like?"), I'm turning this into "da torri's thread," where I can post about anything, anytime. I make enough threads as is, I don't need to make more for little ideas that come in my head that might be fun to post about.

The fact is though that the drinks taste identical. Coke and Pepsi, to me, are exactly the same drink. Just branded and marketed in very different ways.
Pepsi Max is a drink only made by pepsi, which is why i like the product, it tastes different.

I think letting your political affiliation affect your buying habits its quite extreme and is definately an example of how america takes politics far more seriously than many other countries.

I only shop in places i know ill get clothes that I like. I don't really care about what label they are, if i think they look and feel good ill buy em!

I think the whole idea of "products you swear by" infers that your being lead along by marketing which is not a good thing. Nearly all of the products in this thread are superflous to human demand. They are created as products of marketing campaigns that tell you you really need them because of this, this and this reason even though they are worth on industrial value roughly next to nothing.

All of that said, lets not forget who started drinking pepsi because of Britney Spears. Bitch i swear if my insides explode im suing your ass!

Michelangelo, I need snacks, clothes, drinks, and shampoo. These are just the things I'd go out of my way for. The items I prefer and won't be switching.

Anyways, my dog's B-Day was Tuesday, and I bought her:
