Post Hooooookah.
Anyone tried it?

Hookah is amazing. And, even if you're not willing to smoke tobacco in any sort of way, they've got some tobacco-free ones.

It doesn't stink (unless you call smelling like strawberry stinky :P), it's not harsh, and it can lead to fun smoke ring competitions. It's not good for you, but in moderation it's a great activity to flock to when you don't want to drink and you don't want to eat and you don't want to see When a Stranger Calls (or something like it).

And, to those of you who have tried it - what's your favorite flavor?

Wait, you put tobacco in it? You're sure it's tobacco?

Yeah, they had those in a Marrocco-inspired Bar i went to in portugal, I didn't try it though as i'm easily addicted to anything.

It was really cool though :)

Yeah, it's got nicotine, but there's some myth that it's like "watered down" or something.

But, it also helps that you're passing the hookah around and socializing, so you're not like intensely puffing on it every fifteen seconds like you would with a cigarette.

I dunno, I'm not hooked and I've done it a good six times or so.

I'm pretty sure they offer hookah in this restaurant chain called Taiga around here. It IS legal, right? I'd hate to confuse my shit for the umpteenth time.

Wha?

Is this what the kids are doing these days?

I'm only 26 and I still feel old for not knowing what this is.

And I thought you were a teacher. You gals are supposed to know all about stuff like this. Especially if you teach the younger bunch.

I doubt that there are that many 2nd grade stoners out there.

I beg to differ. I did all sorts of nasty stuff when I was a little kiddie.

But let's not go there.

It was sort of a reference to teachers themselves. I see all sorts of things when I run into them on weekends.

For giggles. My AP Language teacher. 11:30pm outside a bar. She was so drunk she nearly fell over. Funniest shit ever. Of course, she didn't remember the next monday...

lennier, yeah, it's legal. You're supposed to be 18, but they don't card. At least here they don't.

ChipMunky, I won't ever be able to smoke cigarettes, even if I wanted to. The smell makes me nauseous. :P

Then yea, that's the stuff they do at that restaurant. Looks weird, seeing people do it on the patio or inside this fancy restaurant. Heh. It's Mediterranean cuisine, if anyone was trying to connect the dots....

I'm 17. I try to follow the law from time to time.

I will. In time.

I'm not rebellious enough, sigh.

Don't worry, I'm 19 and I have no idea what it is.

Is that uncool? Well... some might say it is, I might say it isn't...

you guys are kidding me right?? You dont know what a hookah (shisha) is!?!? Really!?!?

I mean ... seriously!!!??

I've never met anyone in my life who didn't know what a hookah(shisha) is.

wow. just wow.

Torrino, for the record, i've never been a fan. Doesn't matter if it has tobacco or if its just flavored, i can't take the smell. Though when i used to use it once in a while with friends, inittially i never got the flavor. so i got pissed off and inhaled it for close to 30 seconds .. spent the next 10 seconds releasing all the air, proclaimed to my friends that this hookah(shisha) was a fraud, got up, took 2 steps and fell face first.

Inhaling so much made me light headed.

I've maybe taken 6 or 7 puffs in the last 3 years.
