I really hope to get an American release for this film. It's nice to see the other side to the story. I'll see this if it comes out here.

Reminds me of Leni Riefenstahl's propaganda films.

You never see movies about the Americans committing attrocities. You never see movies about Americans being the all and out bad guy. This is the other side of teh story.

Hehe, funny, I think almost every other war movie that is coming out shows Americans being cruel.

Bourne Identiy, Bourne Supremacy, 3 Days of the Condor, Clear and Present Danger, JFK and many others. The U.S. Govt is the villain in countless movies. Even in a supposedly pro-American movie like Saving Private Ryan they show soldiers committing war crimes -- shooting surrendering Germans. In 2004 there was a 100m earning documentary that did nothing but trash the president and America's involvement over there.
This film is just propoganda; it is also anti-semitic, complete with a Jewish-American doctor (Busey) who removes organs from Muslims to send them to Israel, London and rich people in NY. No subtlety there.

Okay guys. You're all right. America is the poor victim here in all of the films mentioned. But has there been a film that is made by another country that gets released over here that has it written and directed from their point of view?

A country should depict its own flaws in movies first before pointing out the flaws of other countries. The film is pure propaganda (and Billy Zane & Gary Busey would probably appear in gay orgies if the money was right). Turkey should first make a film about them slaughtering Armenians or Kurds, then they may film films like this about the US.
I doubt it will ever get an American release. But it is in theatres here in Germany, I might check it out.

I think what baumer means to say is you definetely do see the american govt coming off as the villain but this would be more about the actual soldiers .. portraying them as anything is usually a taboo in american films.
Correct me if i'm wrong?
I personally couldn't care less about the film.
